It makes sense for rebellimon to be very strong for his level because his next evolution is strong enough to be a threat to the Olympus Gods digimon which are roughly on par in strength with the 7 great demon lords and the royal knights

Since Rebellimon is an ultimate digimon, I’m wondering if is gonna get a new mega or tecnically Titanmon is “Canon” for this line in this reboot…

Definitely hope to see more of Rebellimon and maybe his future evolved form as the series continues.

This episode is also kinda nod to Dorulomon and Cutemon relationship, when a lone wolf allow youngster to join him for his journey across the world. Unlike Dorulomon, Rebellimon doesn't consider anyone that is equal to him and only live to fight for his survival and trying to recall his past ( though won't admit until he met and fought MetalGreymon that ignite his lost memory).

And of course, Rebellimon is not the first Digimon capable of defeating Mega Level Digimon. Lucemon, either Rookie or Ultimate, can do that too. Not counting Digimon Fusion because the latter is about fusing all Digimon into one against another fused Digimon.

@@nigel5469 to be fair Lucemon is an Angel type with 10 wings at the rookie level the number of wings an Angel type has that’s how powerful they are

You know, After watching the episode, I imagine that Wizardmon will come back as either Dynasmon or Beelzemon, maybe in the Last Evolution sequel.

I just realised Rebellimon is an ultimate... So did Ogremon got resurrected? Which could explains why he lost his memory. But they never explains how Digimon got resurrected. This could apply to the 6 digidestined's digimon, did they lost their memory through resurrection? Or did Ogremon survive and digivolve to ultimate but why wouldn't he remember his rival, Greymon tho? I know it has been a long time but I guess getting stomp by MetalTyranomon could gives you amnesia lol. I think way to hard into this. Ps. The ending when Rebellimon said "Straight ahead" is a nod to when Ogremon said that line before he got stomp. Took me awhile to realise what the scene meant. They did Ogremon justice this season lol, and underplayed Leomon. Im glad they did tho, we've seen enough of Leomon. Cutemon getting attached to Rebellimon is basically what Cutemon did with Dorulumon in Xros Wars...lmao, some things never changed. This is a real thing btw, there are a lot of cases where people fall in love or attached with someone who saved / rescue them.

We didn't exactly see MetalTyrannomon killing Ogremon. It was assumed because we saw flickers of blue data, but we didn't EXPLICITLY SEE OGREMON burst into data... so Rebellimon wasn't as much of an asspull as some people may think. Rebelimon is a Digimon who was on the brink of death, but takes in the junk data around it to digivolve and survive. It makes sense thankfully :D

rebellimon has the horn patch in its original design, and then adventure 2020 goes and gets ogremon's horn broken. i wonder if they have already planed this episode long ago or if it is just a lucky coincidence

Bruh I hate how Toei flashes the title card at random times sometimes it's earlier in the episode sometimes it's later in the episode. This week it was 6 whole minutes in before it flashed. And when you're watching sub you are glued to the screen reading the captions and sometimes get spoiled by the title. I wish they would set a consistent time for when they put the title card so it can be easier to skip and avoid it ugh. Or at least put a sound effect like dragon ball does so you know when it is and can look away. They really love to spoil the digivolutions in the episode titles. 😑 :/ :(

Mega level Digimon losest to Ultimate level, "something wrong, I can feel it" Other than being a Taichi episode and somewhat better animation didn't impress me. Maybe I value more story-heavy episodes than animation-centered ones.
