I don't know about that. I've always wondered if things would have been different with the guy who hit Gotti's son if he had stood up like a man and went to John, expressed his sorrow, told him what happened...... There are things that these guys can respect, and never facing John Gotti as a man afterwards isn't going to work.

Hearing all these stories you tell makes me think that you are one of the only people inside that life who knew the difference between business and your duty as a loving father. The toughest guy I know lost his son in a Motorcycle accident 5 years ago . I knew his son from birth to death age 27 . I will never forget when I called my friend that day . He was in a car heading to Los Angeles . He answers the phone saying my son is dead ! He was crying and very upset .And my friend tells me about a year after his son passed .I still cry more then I want anyone to see. I told him he could cry anytime for his son around me .Its nobody else's business .He hasn't cried around me since . He was a good kid not like us. His father and I . Im glad your boy and that girl are alive and well .

These people are skilled manipulators. Notice he'll tell these stories about how nice he is and in the middle of the story he'll flippantly say something like "we'd go robbing at night of course". Trust me, Sammy robbed thousands of honest people and some of those robberies ruined people's lives. The mob does all kinds of nasty things like illegally dumping toxic waste, selling faulty products to people, committing fraud at such a level that it drives up prices for honest people, and that's if they're the "good" kind of mobsters. The depraved ones are involved in human trafficking, crack and heroine sales, murder for hire with no questions asked, etc. Don't be so easily manipulated by these scumbags.
