The Cincinnati Police Department released bodycam showing officers arresting two teens after they allegedly ignored commands to stay out of the street. The teens were selling water on the street and impeding traffic, police say. Officers arrested the teens for obstructing official business and resisting arrest. This footage was released in response to a story circulating around social media stating that officers arrested the teens for selling water.

Whether it's kids, teens or adults,...that's what happens when people take something that another person told them,at face value and then repeat it to others. People need to do their OWN research and make sure it's from a reliable source. Why is that so hard to put into practice? I just don't get it.

For some Flippin reason they think they are above the law. Disrespectful. Just listen when a police officer says do something, do it or face the consequences. This all starts at home. If they are not raised to show respect, then it just keeps carrying on for generation to generation. I can tell you, if my son did that I would let him stay a few days in jail. They acted like punks. And how do I know I would have done that to my son, I did it.

Fr, honestly if I acted like that every time I had an encounter with a police officer I would’ve probably had a messed up record, there was one time when I was literally doing 100 in a 70 and a cop just gave me a warning bc I was polite and compliant (he asked for permission to search my car and I had nothing to hide so I told him go ahead, I didn’t want to pull the “I know my rights” card) and then one time after I bought a new jeep I didn’t realize I had to turn the lights on manually so I got pulled over the cop literally just showed me how to turn them on and let me go (didn’t even ask for my license). The point is politeness goes a long way when dealing with law enforcement.

Yes, they do. You can’t turn your back on a part of the society in which you live because you don’t like or agree with it. It’s still a part of it, and it represents what everyone allows. What the public have pushed for en masse. In the not so distant past, if you came home and said you’d been told off at school, you got another bollocking and probably a punishment. Nowadays parents are marching into school shouting, and all through society it’s getting weaker and this is the result, and there will be more to come…

The officer was wrong charging him with obstruction in order to have obstruction charges you must first have a law that is broken and then impede in the investigation of that crime? The officer should have first cited him for impeding traffic, then charged him with obstruction as in court the obstruction charges on there own will most likely be dismissed that is if he takes his right to a good attorney. Disrespecting the officer is not a crime I will say he did incriminated himself when he said "How am I supposed to sell water unless I go into the street?" This is why you have the right to remain silent never talk to the police without a lawyer. It's the same thing every time..."guys, you're not 21, you know you can't be in here".. then they don't leave, act just like these kids were acting, try to creep closer to the stuff on the counter, and it takes me either calling the cops or coming around the counter to force them out. I've had to go hands on a few times when they tried to come behind the counter. We've been robbed at gun point a few times by kids, and of the ones we do kick out, they mess with the store for weeks afterwards for "disrespecting" them. We lost a few employees from them quitting because they couldn't deal with em anymore. It was relentless...until I recently discovered electromagnetic locks. Now we buzz people in. And I am assuming you actually watched the video and were able to comprehend that it wasn't about selling the water, it was about getting out of the (what looked like) busy street. You listened to the discussion when the officer told him they can sell the water, but they need to stop doing it in the street, right? Just making sure you understand the video, if you missed the context of why the officers escalated the situation. It is pretty clear from the conversation.
