VIVE LA FRANCE ! ! ! When Paul MacLean turned up for France, I was actually thinking of Philippe Bozon, but ultimately, he was much more famous for what he achieved outside of the NHL. Among others, I remember him playing for German club Adler Mannheim with his fellow countryman Christian Pouget on the line and totally killing it. They won there three DHL titles in a row in the late '90s. :-)

Brian Leetch is the greatest American hockey player ever. Calder Trophy, 2 Norris Trophies, Gold Medal, Conn Smythe Trophy and Stanley Cup. Averaged over a point per game in the playoffs for his career and has almost as many points as Modano as a DEFENSEMAN which is insane. I would say Kane is really the only person in the running with Leetch as greatest American player goes.

Diverse doesn't mean "having just a couple players from outside North America". For instance, if a company with 30 people employs one Asian guy and 2 women, I wouldn't call them "properly" diverse, I'd call them "filling a quota otherwise you'd pay a fine" diverse. Same in the NHL, 40 years ago, less than 6% of the players were not from North America. It's up to 30-odd % today. That's diversity.

Exactly. His father was Slovak, he just moved to Ukraine where he met his wife, who was actually Polish. Peter was three years old when they moved back to Slovakia. He grew up and learned to play hockey in Slovakia. He had Ukrainian nationality just because his parents didn't want him to undergo 2-year mandatory military training. He chagned his nationality to Slovak in 1993. He reprezented Slovakia and shot the game winning g oal in world championship final against Russia in 2002, when Slovakia became world champions. 66 is the greatest player of all time, 99 is the most accomplished - only because 66 had cancer, back issues and no team around him his first 6-7 seasons. If 66 played 80 games in his first 13 seasons he would have scored 850+ goals and 1200+ assists in 1040 games. 99 played on stacked teams his whole career, 66 didn't play with a fellow future hall of famer until half way into his 4th season, and his second fellow hall of famer teammate joining him 2/3s into his 5th season. His 6th season the Pens started stacking the team around him, but wasn't really stacked until his eighth season, compare that to the team around 99s second season. Also, 66 scored 562 point in 200 games for Laval. He is hands down the GOAT!

Heatley had 50 more points in his first 6 seasons compared to Draisaitl's (he's played 6 so far). Would anyone at the time have expected Heatley to drop off as hard as did? Drai could do the same, I wouldn't say it's 1000% gonna be Leon in 5-6 seasons. I do think it's still a good bet though, since Drai started his NHL career a couple years younger and thus has points than Heatley did as his age, but less than 1000% lol

If there are any new hockey fans (probably not, but just in case) wondering why Gretzky is the Great One, here's a nutshell stat: He leads all time in goals, he leads all time in assists, and thus obviously he leads all time in points.
