So Ciara actually chooses the nice guy and they want to say she isn't happy, she's bored, she misses Future, Russell is square, etc etc. I don't get the logic, she did exactly what they say we should do and instead of them celebrating a win for the nice guy they want to try to bring him down! My partner is sensitive and highly emotionally intelligent, wears dangly earrings and sometimes a skirt and he even lets me put a tiny bit of eyeliner on him sometimes- and he is also strong, decisive, incredibly supportive, and a provider and protector by nature. To me- since he doesn’t villify femininity within himself and his own behavior I know he won’t with me. I feel I can be safe and my fully expressed self around him- in a way I don’t around traditional manly men. Like you said- women want peace. I’ve never found it with those who care more about what their homies think of them then they do about making the women in their life feel safe.

Personally I’ll love a Russell Wilson, I want to feel protected, loved, provided for, assured, and reassured. These men have a problem with him, because he is everything they are not and never saw in their households growing up. Even if Ciara is not into Russell or he is boring, just the peace of mind he brings and acceptance of her son is enough to me. People just need to dead this issue and let them be, also ladies that Ciara pray might not be in the books for you. You can still pray but if it’s not already destined by God, it will just be another prayer. ❤️❤️❤️

I just don’t understand how people can’t accept that people are entitled to change. You don’t have to keep making the same choices for the rest of your life. I mean, isn’t the point to learn and grow? I definitely wouldn’t date the same type of person I did in my 20s now that I’m in my late 30s. In fact, I look back and laugh at most of my dating experiences. I’m grateful for the lessons and the laughs but chile, never again.

I haven’t finished but I find it so funny that men think a “type” of man you date initially is your “type” forever. Some men I dated because they were fun and had access to resources I didn’t have. But they were not the forever guys. Seems like these guys can’t accept that they can be as equally disposable to us, as they think we are to them. Lol.
@VaunTV2 жыл бұрын
the reality of the russell vs future conversation is that ciara actively chose to stop trying to turn the bad boy into the good guy she wants and instead, gave a good guy a chance. russell is a square - especially russell in the beginning of their relationship. ciara and her team did a LOT of work on reengineering his image. which isn't new to her because she did the same with amare staudimire and future. i also don't think the men on the future side of things consider the fact that they might not know who ciara is as a person. her music and visuals have presented her as this sexy girl from around the way but if you read her interview or listen to her talk about who she wants to be in life its more conservative and "square," than most would expect. she's quite literally always wanted to be the powerful man's wife with a few kids and bible study on Sunday afternoons.

I think many men realize that they have not handled themselves to the same standard as Russell. They have not been disciplined with their sex. They have not been fully present in their childrens lives and they have not been willing to commit to the women they deal with. It all may even sound overwhelming and requiring of a lot of personal sacrifice because too many men still want to have their cake, your cake, someone else’s cake and some more cake. They can not and will not let go of their greed.

Back when I thought I was heterosexual, the one thing I would say when someone asked me what my type was, was "a gentleman - and a gentle man." Even if one were to take the kindest possible view of the male-gaze masculine ideal, what good is an larger-than-life, exciting man whom you can't /trust/?

Ciara didn’t settle. She grew up. Young girls think “Future’s” are appealing. Grown women will dump a Future for a Russel without hesitation. The man insisting she really wants Future actually wants Future himself. If they didn’t have a child together, she probably wouldn’t remember Future at all.

I still am confused how someone who is a good God fearing father, a top 5 NFL football player who takes care of his wife and children id a square. Dating is experimental, you don’t always find someone who is compatible off that bat…sometimes people have to experiment and then they learn from their past experiences. Majority of men who’re throughout their 20’s and sleep with anything because it is glorified to sleep with many women, some of those girls are considered hoes, but then when they want to settle down they out of nowhere become super aware of how many bodies a woman has and Change their rhetoric to wanting a “respectable wife” that’s not “ran through”.
