Omg i made these yesterday and they were ah-may-zing! And that is an understatement! I added cilantro, salsa avocado, and fresh lime juice as my toppings! I will definitely keep this in rotation!!! Totally recommend!!!!

Jill I just ordered your cook book and I received it yesterday and all I can say is it's a definite winner. I'm so happy to have your recipes in one place. I love, love, love your channel. I've tried some of your recipes and they're terrific. Thank you so much for all that you do to bring awareness to how wonderful plants actually taste.

Made first purchase of soy curls this week and knew you would know just how to prepare so followed your recipe this morning and let sit in marinade for two hours and sliced veggies in food process and viola!, cooked everything in a wok and the food was as delicious as I it appeared watching you create. Thank you so much, new at plant based and all your recipes have been ones that make it a joyful experience. Will mix the leftover mixture with rice and eat this way next🙏🏻

Soy curls are difficult to find in regular stores. When you order them online they tend to arrive in crumbly pieces due to shipping, not to mention they're expensive. Skip em, and use your favorite mushrooms. Thank you for putting out great video's!

You could also try adding some Mrs. Dash seasoning to the soy curls. Because Mrs. Dash is often used in chicken soup, to me it makes the soy curls taste more like chicken.

Yumm! Those fajitas looks delicious, Jill! I just got some soy curls, so I will be making them this week for sure. Also, homemade tortillas are the best. I also have plenty of masa for that. I would also need some guac on there, though. This meal is definitely happening in my kitchen this week! Thank you for the suggestion for using my soy curls, I am so excited to try them!

I love fajitas! Haven’t made them in awhile. We can’t get soy curls here in Malaysia, but I can use frozen tofu or my homemade oil free chickpea seitan
@robinlaycock31863 жыл бұрын
Yum! How do you make your chickpea seitan? 😃
@HoneyMoser3 жыл бұрын
@@robinlaycock3186 you can google ‘chickwheat’ and that is the basic recipe, I’ve tweaked it for myself. I know seitan isn’t a whole food, but I have a kid who can’t have tofu, so chickpea seitan is a fine compromise l I use tahini instead of oil in it, and miso can be used instead of salt, etc.

Stupid question from a newbie cook. When a recipe like this calls for 2 cups of soy curls, is that 16 oz or is it a 2 cup measuring cup filled to top? Every google attempt comes back with baking responses so I just need a little guidance on when to use weight or not

Cast iron, question would that give someone iron. I had a low iron ?
@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow3 жыл бұрын
Yes, cooking in a cast iron skillet can add significant amounts of iron to your food and into your body. In addition to eating more iron-rich foods like beans, and spinach, cooking in a cast iron pot is an easy way to boost your iron intake

Textured vegetable protein (as it's correctly known), or "soy curls" as you call them, are not whole foods, they are a factory produced refined food that can't be made in the home kitchen.
@CelineRazavi3 жыл бұрын
TVP and soy curls are not the same. Soy curls probably can’t be made from home but they do use the whole soybean and keep the fiber and nutrition (unlike tofu!), so they’re far better thsn TVP. :)
