Unfortunately that‘s not how OKR are implemented. „Read 3 books“ isn‘t a key result, or even a result, but a task. Same with the other two. Also, „improve relationship“ isn‘t an objective but also a task. An objective should be your vision of the outcome. Btw., how would contributing to an account improve your relationship with money (and what‘s the metric in this KR)? In short: If you don’t start with a well thought through objective (like here) you will have a really hard time finding key results to guide your journey towards your goal.

Am I missing something? This is the second video i see that the key result looks like a task to me, and very clearly so. Do you have any good reference where i can learn more clearly about this? Thank you!

Thanks for sharing this. Setting clear objectives is important, and having a tool like Astirna New Tab to manage my tasks helps me stay focused on my OKRs.

This comes off as "The secret" for goal attainment. Really get the vibe that this is just clever rebranding.

I Just finished planning the first term of my own philosophy. I'm going to write 7 books (Actually 1+1+6+12+27+10=57 books) I must reach this first goal. Please update more like this video. It really help me, and yes, of course other people. And also, I want to hear more about your goals. As always, thank you so much!

Great video as always. I find KRs work best when they are: measurable, obvious, focused on value, frequently change, actionable, and lead to action. When I've worked with others on defining OKRs, KR definition is where people get more lost. For example, a common mistake is to make it boolean. In your example, I would make your third KR: 'contribute to retirement account' measurable by adding a KPI to it: 'contribute 10% of income to retirement account'. Hope you find this helpful.

I love this Ignacio! You’re absolutely right.. the more specific the better. What I try to do is max out my contributions to my retirement account annually. That helps me measure it.

Sneaky, using the white guy as your thumbnail to lend authority to your video... But this is a well-made, informative illustrative introduction to how to think about OKRs. Thanks for this!😊
