Gaga has ALWAYS mantained about how us ‘weirdos’ actually belong and all the freaks are “outside”. you immediately translated the meaning of this album and that, as a fan, means the world. thank you for being so genuine and keeping an open mind. i can’t wait for more Gaga videos ❤

that whole album is basically a love letter to the 80s era. a fun and anthemic cheesy pop record. the dark industrial sounds matched with religious imagery is immaculate. born this way influenced by whitney and some say madonna. edge of glory influenced by bruce springsteen. you and i with guitarist brian may from queen. this album saved many lives back then

Born This Way was obviously influenced by 80s music. She grew up listening to Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston and she wanted to incorporate that onto Born This Way.

Just found your channel, subbing now! Born This Way is my favorite album of Gaga’s. It came out my senior year of HS and it literally saved my life. These songs gave me hope and a voice. Lady Gaga is THE most important artist to debut this century. How boring the music industry would be now if not for her. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to watch your Chromatica reaction! You should listen to ARTPOP next. It’s her best album in my opinion. It’s just as crazy and well produced as Born This Way, but tighter and more varied. The only caveat is that all recent pressings of the album have a song missing. The original pressing with the foil cover is the only one that has Do What U Want with R Kelly and sadly it’s crazy expensive and hard to find. You could buy a more recent pressing for a much lower price, but you wouldn’t be getting that song, and it’s frankly a bummer since it’s one of the best tracks Gaga has ever made.

I'm late in the game, but a big fan of this channel. This album requires time. It took me quite awhile. But now it's maybe my fav Gaga album? No. I like Chromatica best, and really all the rest are tied for second place. All of them. This album is super killer, once the acquired taste sets in. To me now it is a thrill to listen. I am really enjoying this play of it. Americano is my least favorite song on the album. It just goes on waaaay too long. That's the problem I have with that song. It should be a two minute blast. It would be great. But the rest: "Jesus is the new black". That's all I got to say. (killer diller song)

I thought they were saying Sam will enjoy Hair because Sam has no hair. I'm so sorry! 47:45 yeah that is true. Scheisse on its own is spectacular but I agree it gets same-y in the album. She did open her Coachella set with it and it was fantastic 59:00 that's fair. Even little monsters say that this album is like many singles strung together. I usually just pick one song that pumps me up and listen to it for days on end lol It works better this way than as an album. ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica have better flow and Variety 👍

You lost me when you said the songs bleed into each other, though I do agree there’s a same-y-ness but I put that down to being cohesive. Will say the standard version of this album is a WAY better listen, the special edition drags and adds too many duds to the tracklist when there’s already Bad Kids on the standard version (and maybe Hair too depending on the day lol)
