Old metalhead reacts to Perfume of the timeless by Nightwish

I'm loving this song more and more as I watch reactions. I hear different things and feel it more. So great. I'm sure others corrected you, but in case not, the Bassists name is Jukka (formerly of Wintersun like Kai, the Drummer); Marko left public life for over a year in 2020 due to depression and mental health issues. He is moving on to only perform now with friends or his own band once and awhile with no pressures. Everyone wishes him the best in this new phase of his career, though he is missed. Marko has an amazing voice which we have in 20 years of albums and performances to enjoy. You have some good stuff to hear yet! However here, it is Troy singing. He is their multi instrumentalist that you will meet. Super talented.

Nice reaction. This song shows that Tuomas Holopainen is evolving, also, as a composer, lyricist and a poet. One correction. Marko left the band a few years ago. This is the first album in almost 20 years that he has not been on. The new bassist is Jukka Koskinen and the vocals at the end are performed by their multi-instrumentalist, Troy Donockley. I am, after hearing this song, even more eager for the album to come out in September.

Glad you gave Nightwish a real chance, you wont be disappointed. Troy and Floor do a lot of Duets after Marko left in Human Nature Live songs, the Album had Marko before he left.

Used to be Marko until he left before recent tour. The male is Troy who has been with Nightwish since 2008 and a permanent member since 2013. He has sung backing behind Floor and Marko for a while and stepped up with Marko's departure.

It's not Marko anymore, sadly. The new bassist (seen in the video) is Jukka Koskinen. The male singer in this is Troy Donockly. Marko features in the live version of 'Greatest Show On Earth'.

For my preference, this would go well on the same track as anything by DIO. Drummer is giving a very classic four on the floor feel, and the vocals are definitely amazing.

Unfortunately Marko is not in the band anymore. Singer is Troy, his voice is more soft, as Marko’s voice is more powerful. If you like to hear Marko and Floor together in a bit heavier song, please check out Song Of Myself from Wacken. Or Seven Days To The Wolves at Wembley. Oh, there’s just too many songs to choose from. But a very nice reaction, thank you!
