Old Ryko Ultra-Clean

Part of the ND (No-Dryer) series, but probably the best soft touch part of the series, is this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Ryko Ultra-Clean. Now, I know it is sad they got rid of the Filament and replaced with foam-cloth material. However, the mechanism and that model logo is ASTONISHING AND GORGEOUS! Ryko I believe has some of the coolest history of in-bay automatics I have ever seen, and it is all thanks to you all!
However, I did not find this, I visited it thanks to Brendan Hancock. In fact, I will just go ahead and give him credit for all of what I filmed in Pittsburgh. He has found some really cool stuff, and some stuff that no longer exists.

This is incredible! An ultra clean is incredibly rare to come across, let alone still in operation! Eventhough it has neo glide foam brushes instead of filament, this looks to be in very good shape considering its age. Great find sir!

Wow. As a Ryko tech. I haven’t seen one of those in years. Looks like someone loves their wash and takes care of it. That’s getting rare these days. If my memory is correct, thought those thanks for your business signs were back lit.

The Ryko Ultra Clean can be equipped with dryers. It just depends on what the operator has chosen. You can get a fully equipped version or a basic version like we’ve seen here, you can even get on board dryers or drive-through dryers almost commonly known Thrust pro drying, which is around at the time of the Ultra Clean. This particular unit seems to be in really good condition for its age. Even the signage on either side of the system seem to light up which I’ve never seen before only ever seen it on the factory video and nice to see it with Foam Brushes rather than FoamBrite. The silver wash looks to be the same as the gold wash be interesting to see what the gold wash offers. It looks like if the silver wash is the full program with a double top brush pass. An outside view is well and truly needed for this system.

The only R7Bs or R7B Ultracleans left in JL is one with red FoamBrite at a Ampol and another one With blur brushes with pin wheels at Mogas anyways great video!

I just filmed one of these and it also didn't have filament but there was dryers but they were the newer slimlines and off-board. This UltraClean I filmed also has the sign but it was faded but still visible. Also, I noticed you haven't filmed any car washes in California as well as a lot of other car wash channels, Is there a reason for that? Also, there is an R7B in Woodland CA that I filmed but it's abandoned so do you still want to film it?

I live on the east coast and not the west. Even though I can always take a plane to California, there is no reason but for car washing. Never to be rude, though, and I am glad we have an awesome California Car Wash KZbinr like you. I did not film this, but found an abandoned R7B in Cumberland MD. I probably won't film it as I don't want to weirdly look strange, but also it did show some No Trespassing Signs inside the bay.

AMAZING! how the hell did you come across this rarity? I'm also a car wash enthusiast loved them my whole life I saw a bunch of videos on your channel of you filming car washes across the country and I have a couple in my home state NJ that you might be interested in, There's Trax car wash of New Brunswick (my favorite) and there is Old Town car wash located in Manasquan, NJ and it has vintage equipment, it might be Hanna Sherman or vintage AVW I know you are a big fan of old car wash technology, and this is a request to by the way son if you are able to visit that will be great.

Thank you for your support, and is an interesting car wash you requested too. I believe that would be Hanna Sherman equipment, even though the wraps do resemble AVW. This Ultra Clean system was found by Brendan Hancock, but man I did not expect this one still open, and the experience with the token into the box, man, I never had a childhood of car washing like that.

@@FloridaRailfanKid803 Some don't as those particular ones rely on their Spot Free water, and dries as you drive, and leaves minimal water spots, which may not be the case sometimes, as some washes may not have a well-planed "Spot Free" rinse.
