The CCP M2 is amazing. My grandmother hand a stroke recently and couldn't operate or shoot her Glock 42 consistently. My family took her out this weekend to check out the S&W Shield EZ and the Walther CCP M2 because they're both made to be easy to rack, operate, and to have slightly more mild recoil in a comparable pistol without these features. My grandmother went with the Walther CCP M2 and absolutely loves it (even more than her old Glock 42). The ergonomics fit my grandmother's hands better and it felt like it had even less recoil than the Shield EZ according to her. Our family is very happy that the Walther CCP M2 exist and feel confident my grandmother can use it without any issues if she ever needs to defend herself.

I work at a major firearms retailer, pretty sure you could probably guess where. I have all of the firearms employees look at your reviews. Extremely informative, unfortunately we are not able to shoot new firearms ourselves, so this really helps. Thank you for the great education.

As an old dude I bought the M2 because it was easy to rack.

I got the ccp in .380 recently and I’ve grown to love it. It’s accurate, works great, and is easier to conceal than my 92 lol. Great addition to the collection!

I have the CCP in .380 and it's been fantastic. I know there are reviews out there that hate the firearm, but for me it's been very reliable. The only downside I've noticed is the weapon gets dirty very quickly and can lead to some malfunctions, but that's after several hundred rounds.

Great review. As for the mag disconnect, I think I’ll randomly find a bigfoot in the woods before I ever meet anyone that likes a mag disconnect.

I don't mind it, as I'm fond of the PPK. Just me though. But I can see where it can be annoying. You can release the slide lock etc.

HK P7 series uses a gas-delayed blow back design also. The design, function and location of the gas piston are very similar between the two guns.

Great review Allen. You continue to be the best reviewer on KZbin. I absolutely love my 5” PDP, and loved my PPQ. But I loathed my PPS in .40, and I really do not like the cheap feel of the CCP. Like the Creed, it feels more like a Taurus or Ruger product than the PDP or PPQ. I wish Walther would focus on delivering its unique higher-end features (trigger and ergonomics) across the entire product line. Until then I will stick with my Glock 48. The minute a concealable iteration of the PDP is available, I will buy it.

The long trigger is for close combative, the fixed barrel and long trigger won't unchamber or fire to sensitive when getting snuggly with a opponent 😎🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I had an earlier model of this gun and it was a pleasure to shoot. But the uncaptured spring was a nightmare to put back in, and then something on it broke... I'm sure they have improved and fixed those problems.

They have. The disassembly and reassembly is so much easier.

I just got one of these, and it shoots so soft! One tip I can give, this gun gets dirty! Every 70 or 80 rounds you should at least wipe the feed ramp down, otherwise the rounds will hang up on the built up soot.

Good ammo helps too but yes, I agree.

Hello to you sir, Very happy to watch your video on this model. I did some research and found this firearm to be very nice. Be well

The CCP is highly underrated. Does anything else in this price range shoot softer/flatter? The 8-round capacity is its biggest handicap in a world of higher capacity micro-9's like the P365 and Shield Plus.

I just got one of these but haven't fired it yet. Took it home, cleaned it and swapped magazine release. If you want to have a left hand magazine release, you have to dress the top of the magazines on the opposite side from if it was in the r/h position. I smoothed the catch on the side that the magazine hits when installing it and beveled the top edge just a little and now the magazines go in very smoothly, stay in like they should and release as they should. I got this because I have severe hand arthritus which is very painful in the thumb area which makes racking the slide difficult. I have a Remington R51 which is also a delayed blowback gun. It shoots very well and the recoil isn't too bad but the take down and reassembly is a nightmare, especially with painful arthritus. Anyone who has one knows what I'm talking about .

great video. what about putting a little bit of super glue on that little rubber piece on the striker spring so you don't lose it?

Another great reveiw on a great line of pistols, blowback is the smoothest to shoot with accuracy to boot , one only has shoot the 92 fs Berretta & it doesn't get any better( have for yrs.)have several blowback/ rotating barell pistols , their all winners. Thanx. P.S.Tx.🗽

Hi nice job,... Thanks. I just bough a new one in 380.... and was very surprised there were no lands and groves inside the barrel. No sharp edges anyway, the lands seem more like slight humps. that fade into the groves Is this common to this model? I can not hit the broad side of a barn with it....

I have this in 9mm, the recoil is still peppy despite the gas piston for a newer shooter, but not terrible. Way better than my brother's M&P Shield compact 9mm. I do need to learn how to deal with trigger pull/learning to shoot properly. It seems to lean to bottom left (once again, a novice).

I like the idea of the fixed barrel. Then should do a v. 3.0 with a 1 1/2 stack magazine to at least 12 rounds imo. Not a fan of the mag. disconnect.

Yea my ccp m2 does not have a magazine safety? I can pull the trigger when its cocked and the mag is out.
