I was in a short relationship with a man 22 years ago he was 25 I was 40, we went our seperate ways but we always lit up when we bumped into each other over the years. Now we are finally together and very happy, I'm now 62 he's 47 if love is meant to be it will eventually find a way age has nothing to do with it.The perseption of other people is their problem and they really don't matter

I have been involved with an older woman for many years now. I was attracted to her confidence and self awareness. She had obviously taken care of herself and dressed well etc. She was freshly divorced and our relationship was a slow burner. Now I am the age she was when we first met. I gave her my youth and she gave me her experience and through her I grew into the man I am today. I would had never achieved the things I did had I met someone my own age. I'm currently going through something similar. I met this woman who is 56 and I'm 31. Though she looks like 35-40. She is probably the most intelligent woman I've ever met. The disparity in age, with the woman being the older, may be a drawback (on the surface) but just watching you, Susan, and listening to your insight, discernment, wisdom and sheer intelligence is a definite turn on. Many woman may feel inadequate in their relationship with a younger man if, surely, they are basing it, primarily, on age and what "society tells them what is proper" but, i believe that an intelligent, enlightened and relaxed, confident "older" woman, just like fine, aged wine can bring a certain sparkle and flavour that a younger woman cannot offer. Have confidence, ladies, love yourselves enough to know you deserve this kind of love in your life ❤️ if a younger man captures your heart and if he is genuine do not waste this opportunity. I'll be brutally honest here. A lot women believes it should be fair but in the real world but it's not. When woman talk about men they want to know what he does for a living. For men it's her beauty. As we age these features we look for doesn't really change. I'm sure looks matter to women to some degree too but overall in a nutshell, women prefer financial stability and men prefer fertility and beauty. It may not be fair but it is the way things are. This is not an insult to anyone but just stating some of the facts. I'm 39 and financially stable. I wouldn't mind dating a woman my age or older. However, if I wanted to settle down I'd look for a younger woman for I would like to have children of my own.

What matters the most is what's the the person's personality. Do they have a good heart. Compatibility, honest and trustworthy. I heard from friends about an Italian man, who was handsome as hell. A little younger than his wife. They were married for many many years. She was short and had quite a bit of weight on her, but he loved her with his heart and soul. And she gave him quite a few children,he never said to her I think you should lose weight or improve your looks.. I guess two of the daughters were somewhat overweight. And their father taught them the beauty of skin deep. Every woman is beautiful regardless of her weight. It's what's inside that counts.

Great film I just saw "Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (2017)" about the film star Gloria Grahame (portrayed by Annette Bening) in the last few years of her life. She does not want to keep her body in good shape or exercise. She just lays on the couch wrapped up in a blanket pecking on her cell phone. She had been unemployed for nearly 20 years. She is wearing a diaper and does a lot of farting and belching. Her hair is falling out and her eyes are all watery and glazing over. She has an angry scowl on her face and is always criticizing me. I can’t even touch her no more. I had to let her go even though I have been with her for 25 years. I still look like I’m 30, with ripped body and six pack. I have a great six figure job, exotic luxury vehicle, no bills, excellent health and three retirements. Life is good and if I find a new partner, that is fine. But I won’t be looking for any mates soon. I’m going out to enjoy my life and not cater to anybody.

As women, not only society tried to define us by our beauty, but sometimes we (as women) also are the ones unconsciously trying to seek validation by using our appearance. Thankfully, we can learn to work on something infinitely more rewarding which is the pursuit and acceptation of who we are as an individual. As I get older (35 years-old) I am starting to realise that someone who is truly accepting of who they are is the ultimate turn-on to a man or a woman, regardless of their age. Very interesting chat..for the last 3 years I've had an on off relationship with a guy 18 years younger but I have finished the relationship many times but we seem to be drawn back to each other. I'm nearly 74 and he's trying hard to make money to support himself and young daughter. Living in different countries also does not help. He now is in the same country and cannot commit to a relationship but wants a lover situation as anything else is too difficult for him. So I feel for him but I cannot see the point ,he has never said age, but it has to also now be a deal breaker. I am happy with where I am and what I am still achieving and to me I don't mind if he makes lots of money only that he's happy as to where he is in his life. Age isn't so much an issue for me personally, as long as it's within certain parameters. I had judgment once when I dated a guy 13 years younger, but age was not at all why I broke it off with him. I was heartbroken. Toxicity was the reason, and him not being over his ex, but I experienced that with many types of people in any capacity. I was surprised though because I got less judgment than I originally thought. I was never conventional so it wasn't like Earth shattering news. I actually found out my aunt is 13 years older than my uncle was. There's also quite a bit of others that are with a partner that is not the same age, and some of them were after me. I choose a guy by how we interact together, and I'm not against short term casual if both parties are on the same page, but my goal is long term or marriage. There's a possibility I could still conceive if that's an issue. I think it's important too to have a younger man with a certain level of maturity, but the same goes for anyone. I once dated a guy my age who would go on about how old he was (40 at the time), was overly careful, and felt restrictive. He even said he likes his meat and potatoes (this is just an interesting way of saying that you're boring 😂). He drove like an old man and said I have to be careful. I usually go 5-10 over Lol.

I very recently had a FWB who was 17 years younger than me. He hit on me and proposed the FWB thing, which I was cool with. Then mutual friends told me that he professed to them to wanting more, and he also led on to wanting more to me personally through his words/actions. So then I “caught feelings,” because I thought that they were reciprocated. And then I was told “I-don’t-want-a-serious-relationship.” Oh. GREAT. He pulled back and I finally asked if I should just leave him alone, and he said yes. (We both had mental health issues at the time.) So I ended up completely heartbroken. I KNEW it would end up like this! And all of my (older, married) girlfriends URGED me to pursue this crap, and I TOLD them that it would end BADLY, and it DID. UGH. I wish that this had never happened! Still hurting SO BADLY. 😭😭😭

I once met this girl who was a family friend. Her mum or gran is friends with my gran. Straight just started liking her when I saw her. She came across as a very happy, jolly girl. She did a pharmacy degree and I noticed she'd look at me a lot and smile. I asked my mum about her and she told me she's 6 years older than me. I noticed myself older women are more mature than younger ones. At least also they have done their education and settled in their career which no offense young people are uncertain on as I found from the girl I really liked getting married and dropping everything including her studies when she got engaged to her relative.

I look and act 10-15 years younger than I am. Most Guys my age can't keep up with me. I put my age on the dating site and I get 75-80 year old men that look old enough to be my father. It’s dishonest to lie about one’s age. I see a lot of people who say they look younger than their age. But in actuality they look their age, it’s just that many other people don’t age as well. I see many men say the same that they look younger for their age and women their age can’t keep up with them. I don’t think they are justified in lying about their age either. I quickly move on from men who lie about their age, even if they mention in their profile that their listed age is incorrect.

I'm 50, he 40. we reconciled after a separation due to incarcerations. we are adamant about starting over and rebuilding our lives together, away from where we met 5yrs ago. he's soooo beautiful, inside and out. I don't have issues with my man with society. THE ONLY ISSUES are with me. He is hot and I have to constantly compete with younger women. In saying that he said I'm hotter and prettier than any young women, he loves only me, wants a life with me and im emotionally mature and young women in his past aren't. Another HUGE issue is he wants a family and my clock is ticking now. So there's pressure to have yet more kids now I'm older and finally free from looking after my kids, I now have more money and freedom and have to decide to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. And FAST. I only have couple years left if I can even have another kid at all as I'm old now. So I must speed up the relationship and have kids being older and more tired otherwise I lose him. I don't want to lose him!. He also needs to sort his own job and life out to be stable to have kids as he is not in a position financially to have them. So he needs to sort that aspect FAST. There is pressure because I'm too old and getting ready for menopause

That's been my experience too, Dusan, I just find it difficult to gel with men in my immediate age group, and find it harder the older I get. Now turning 59, I much prefer the way that younger men see the world. I've closed myself off from the possibility of anything other than sexual liasons with younger men, but starting to realise I'm probably doing me, and them a disservice by not considering the possibility it could be more. I think because I have several adult sons, I relate emotionally very well to them, but I can also see that would be very intimidating to a younger guy.
