Awe my daughter asked me every year to make Chitterlings. I sure think about her every holiday. I tell my husband we should make them in her memory. I lost all 3 of my children Nov 2019. Their memories live on. Thank you for this video!

Looks delicious! I have been eating chitterlings since I was a child. I wish I had the time to clean them. I would certainly buy some and cook them for myself and my mom. She loves them, also.

Wow.....it's been many, many years since I've had chitterlings. My Mother died in 2008 and before she passed (during the holidays) she would fix them. I started helping her prepare them and it really showed me how much work she went through to get them prepared for the few of us who ate them. I absolutely loved them!!! My Mom would make sweet potatoes, cole slaw and cornbread to go with it. I'm not a cornbread fan with my chitlins' so I just had the sweet potatoes and cole slaw with them. And of course some hot sauce; not much though because I didn't want smothered in hot sauce. Wow......video brought back memories of my Mother leaning over the sink and working her magic getting those chiltlins' ready. I had a few tears and a bunch of very happy memories seeing this video. Thank you.

I don't know if I like these or not however as a person who loves to cook and eat I am always willing to try anything. Most times when people say they don't like something it is because they haven't had it prepared in the right way. Thanks Chef for always showing the world a new way to prepare an old dish

Chile, lemme tell you...if ANYONE cooks chitlins properly like this AND offers you a plate...You betta eat em! The love that goes into making this dish is truth. And nowadays chitlin prices are as high a caviar. That 5lb bucket used to be $5...Now they $30+. Lawd have mercy, these look soooo good! In a pefect world, every city would have an all you can eat chitlin restaurant. Hot sauce is ready, wheres my plate??? Heading to Walmart now to get mines now. Lord, please let them still have some, and let this credit card be straight😂. Happy New Year yall, and continued good eating.

I would tear that up! I’ve only had boiled a few times. Had them fried several times. Loved them both ways. Using Italian dressing sounds like a great tip. I will never understand those who feel like they have to leave negative comments on every video. Must be a sad life to live. 🤷‍♂️🤣

GM chef, chitterlings look good. Haven't eaten any n years. I'm like you I can't understand why they are so high. I remember long ago you could buy a bucket (the red bucket) for little or nothing, even the hog maws are high, but now they are expensive. Well, everything the prices r up. Wish I was there to help enjoy those chitterlings. Be blessed. TYFS. Enjoy. #ossfjustshowsomekindness. 🕊😊❤

You are so right! I use too eat them as a child but I had a bad experience with someone not cooking and cleaning right and I found out where they came from. I haven't ate them since over 30 years ago. But when my mother cooked them back them they never smelled and were very good. I think I remember her putting potatoes and something else that kept smell down plus her cleaning them real well.❤❤❤❤❤
