This is my 3rd series and I love them all, can’t wait to hear the rest of them. I’m really amazed at all of the details and research that has gone into each episode. That is truly what makes them so great to listen too!! I love the Old West and Westerns (just finished Lonesome Dove). You truly make it come to life. Thank You

I've just discovered this series via Audible and have spent the past several evenings listening to it. You have a wonderful skill as a storyteller, and I look forward to listening to many more tales of gunfights, oddities, and frontier exploration while watching the sun set over the mountains of Arizona.

That town had an unofficial motto - We serve up a dead man for breakfast every day. Sort of like modern day Chicago.

JAlan, I for one would have to disagree with that comparison. Though only by way of a technicality. Few of the multitude found dead or dying in the streets of Chi-Congo these days have earned the moniker of "man".

It is amazing to hear you say that back in those days, conservatives were democrats and visa versa, then go on to say that basically what you said isn't true...lol.

Well, it seems as if elections haven't changed since the time of the Old West. Sounds a lot like what happens today. Some things never change.

I love listening to you Chris but you are wrong on the party switch. The conservative ideologies shared today such as supporting law enforcement and protectionism through military were shared by those same Republicans of old.

I love it other than the "parties were different back then" and stated how the dems hired the outlaws as election officials. Couldn't have a more obvious similarity, literally had me laughing out loud.

Oh, please.... get over it already! And please leave the bs conspiracies for the bs conspiracy channels. This is established!! history and education. This is why people come here... to get away from the loony tunes propaganda content and the obligatory toxic comment sections.

@@nookie077 ahhhh so history never repeats itself? Tell me scholarly one, how is it conspiracy when there is more than enough evidence of it happening repeatedly in the past. You suffer from cognitive dissonance, seek real news fast.

@@minpros3049 I never said history never repeated itself, or imply so. I did say that I was annoyed that an election fraud dude was polluting the comment section of an unrelated video. Now! I know!! what you're about to shout, "how can you can you say they aren't related??" Likely in all CAPS. And that's why you're a freaky conspiracy dude. You probably think the earth is flat and elvis lives on an island with 2upac, guarded by the second gunman on the grassy knoll? I'm not far off, am I? Go on, be honest, lol.

Nookie, I can't say on the rest of it but if you think Oswald killed Kennedy fom the book depository with his Carcano then your very obviously NOT a shooter. There is no way in Hell a man takes a scoped rifle that he has never zeroed, sets up a left to right passing shot, then misses the entire goddamn car with his first shot and comes back with a fatal head shot and fatal throat shot with two and three. As we say around these parts "That dog just won't hunt". Don't know who did what or why but I've been behind a rifle since grade school and I've used a firearm under high stress situations (successfully as witnessed by my being here to make this comment) and things just don't happen that way.

@@nookie077 Seems to me that the comment was in direct reference to the content of the video. So who seems like the one who needs some therapy.... the person who made a comment directly pertinent to the content... or the one who couldn't handle the comment and keep scrolling because they can't miss an opportunity to express how much better they think they are than everyone else? The world is so much better and it's all thanks to you.

I've listened to a few of these. They are entertaining but I would like to a stronger commitment to accuracy. He needs to understand history better or just leave those opinions out. His speculation that Doc Holiday killed black kids in Valdosta during the Union Army's occupation of Valdosta during brutal Reconstruction shows his bigotry and lack of commitment to accuracy. He would have been immediately killed and probably his family's home burned. It is simply impossible that that happened. Other inaccuracies are evident. In one episode Wyatt Earp went to TX as a bounty hunter (correct) and in another he stated that Wyatt Earp went as a sheriff and not as a bounty hunter.

I agree, on every single audio vlog, I have found untruths. That are not factual and worse correct facts but told about the wrong prrson. its a disservice to history.

Funny you mention lack of commitment to history when you spell John Henry "Doc" Holliday's name wrong. 2 L's not 1. Respectfully I lived in Tombstone and played Doc at the oriental saloon

Well, not all historical documents agree on the facts. Sometimes you just gotta pick one and go with it. 🤷‍♀️
