Also love how she doesn’t realize that the reasons you can’t use certain things while pregnant has nothing to do with your health and is either because 1) it hasn’t been tested on pregnant women so it’s better safe than sorry, or 2) is absorbed into the body and thus the fetus and that could harm the child because fetuses don’t have the same defenses as adults.

@@ninakara585 a lot of essential oils are irritating in the long term if used at the wrong percentage and aren't fresh but there are also essential oils with proven soothing and rejuvenating benefits, and a few even can be used on pregnant women and 3 months babies Pubmed the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health literally has tons of studies of proven benefits of essential oils. Both conventional and natural skincare products have pros and cons. Science debunks the anti essential oil propaganda too, the founder of Osmia organics is a certified medical doctor and she created a natural skincare brand, dermatologists just like all health professionnals get bonuses when they promote certain brands I know this for a fact as I used to work to for a call center where I had to call doctors for big name labs in France.

Learn about ceramides, vitamin C serums, hyaluronic acid, lipids that must penetrate that’s what carrier oils are for. It’s chemistry and science, not opinions. To those who don’t like her product choices fine it’s not different from doctors different brands yet simple products with no sulfates suds strip like certain shampoos. Here’s an example if you use Hydrocortisone makes the skin thin just like certain chemicals. All the natural is bad talk isn’t the point it’s what chemicals are they would you wash your face with Windex? Use acidic cleaners and forget the gloves? You're supposed to eliminate certain things from your routine when pregnant because you don't really know how it's gonna affect the fetus, although those things are usually okay to use when you're not pregnant because the effects on non-pregnant women are already studied, therefore it's deemed safe. @Alondra Torres One absolutely CAN know whats better for their own skin and body-particularly when most physicians are given the majority of their training in Western medicine of “treat the symptoms” and not the root cause of disease. Those doctors are given very little training on nutrition (a proven cornerstone of good health), much less natural/complimentary therapies that could be utilized before turning to pharmaceuticals that always have side effects. No, I am not an anti vaxxer btw. I am a firm believer that medicine has its place; as in for serious issues (including a pandemic). However, most negative outcomes in health can be avoided by proper diet and exceecise (the things many people don’t seem to want to do). And, granted, many people don’t want to do extensive research like I have, but there are plenty of herbs that are healing and safe. Some are not and natural doesn’t automatically=safe and thats why its important to research and also seek the advice of an integrated medical practitioner. But to say your average doctor knows everything is severely limiting belief at best and dangerous to your health and takes the power for your health out of your own hands. There is documented healing of all kinds of diseases simply through diet, exercise and herbal medicine. Don’t underestimate it-or yourself.

The mask Olivia mentioned did not feel moisturizing and just sat on top of the skin without doing anything. Face wash nothing special, and on my opinion it did not smell as great as Olivia described, it also would stain your eyes if it go near your eye area, so I was surprised she was be able to use it the way she did. I also tried serums from both their lines and for 140$ I did not feel it performed as some other brands do. Sorry for such negative review but this brand did not worth the money on my opinion.

So, when in pregnancy, the woman is in a natural immunological depression state and she needs to avoid any pathogen which can be virus or bacteria to not transmit to the undeveloped fetus. And about the oils: oils do not absorb or hydrate the skin, instead water based solutions do. The oil gives just a sealing effect, and therefore has to be applied as the last in a skin routine.

I changed my skin care and make up to all organic products. Yes I have oily skin & I use coconut or macadamia oil as a makeup remover, I generally don’t use a lot of foaming cleansers. I live in Brisbane so it’s always warm and humid here, and realised that oils - depending which ones you use- are not always slippery and make you feel greasy. I use Living Libations, and have been for the last 12 years on and off. When I am off my organic skin care my skin suffers, I have had childhood acne and am now 47 but am still not immune to the odd pimple, ugh! But I will definitely try this brand too, and for all those nasty comments, keep doing what your doing if that is working for you. people need to realise that your skin is your largest organ, it absorbs EVERYTHING. So if Olivia does what she can to be as close to nature then good on her, just because she has bleached blonde hair means absolutely nothing . You can only be 100% if you live on a farm, have no FB or Twitter, no internet, no TV no Radio waves and live like a caveman hunting and gathering and dot going to the supermarket for food. That is sort of unsustainable, so you do what you can, every little change helps. Baby steps, but hey I still love Whittakers New Zealand caramel chocolate! I mean, it may work for her, because she's rich, she eats organic, has the means to pay for people to check on whatever thing goes wrong, doesn't eat whatever is cheap and easy to make (quick to get)... salwa as lol “soothening” anyway, rose water is 99.9% water which means in true homeopathic fashion any antioxidants it contains are intensely diluted and thus don’t have any active effects on your face. I agree with you, once you think about how many things you shouldn't do or eat when you are pregnant, it def makes you think that you shouldn't do it when not as well. being plant based is a great way to start, and so is trying to sub eco or natural products as well. Try castle soap instead of dove, oils like rose hip and jojoba instead of heavy creams, and natural toothpaste!

Just remember guys just because its natural doesn't mean it doesnt damage the skin.. I have a skincare channel here on KZbin and talk through individual ingredients which would work a lot better than some of the products in this video xxx

I know it’s just a compliment but it’s kinda sad how it’s such a common compliment when people look good without applying cosmetics to themselves like that has become the normal standard instead of our « natural » faces

Chemicals? Water is a chemical. And “toxic” and “natural” are marketing buzzwords.

And yet some of us know what she's referring to when she says "chemicals." You're choosing to be obnoxious.

Rebecca Sheckelstein organ toxicity is a thing, as well as endocrine disrupters, and carcinogens. Which are all unregulated in cosmetics.

Julie Am I? Is it not obnoxious that this advertisement keeps reiterating the fact that (insert brand) is So VerY NaTuRaL, when natural isn’t always better, and is a subjective term? Chemicals are good! Everything is chemistry. She should have just said: buy (product) because (insert factual statement) rather than mUH NaTUrALism.

Julie It doesn’t matter what she meant lmao. She’s spreading misinformation. You’re also ignoring the fact about this just being shitty marketing by someone who claims to know everything about skincare yet says she wasn’t good at chemistry. I’m definitely going to believe this chick over a cosmetic formulator or dermatologist who knows more than I can imagine about biochemistry and organic chemistry.

The fragrance in these products + the fact that she didn’t properly remove her makeup are way worse than any “crazy chemicals” in dermatologist-recommended products

Love her enthusiasm about sustainability and clean products, but I also struggle with fragrances too, whether from botanicals or not. Sounds like a great company but not for everyone..

I dunno. Bella Thorne literally put sugar and lemon on her face and scrubbed so hard I could feel it through the screen. At least Olivia used an actual face cleanser and moisturizer.

MakeupLover XO Bella Thorne’ season mental and i hate to think of her younger fans emulating her routine. Plus Bella Thorne’s esthetician has photos of her on her instagram talking about all the work they’ve done on her skin. And it wasn’t lemon & sugar.

I stopped using expensive facial cleansers and moisturizer and started using Castile soup and organic coconut oil and my acne got soooooo much better. I also have oily acne prone skin. I learned that fragrance ~ other than organic essential oils was one of the worst things for skin.
