Good to see you back. I see you have put much thought into the clamping arrangements for the sheeting and it appears to have worked very well. I recently saw a similar Camper to yours . It was on a VW LT chassis and purpose built as a camper with a fixed accommodation.

Great job! I built a caravan using GRP (Filon) and I glued that exterior skin the wall sitting flat on a big table, pretty easier, then I attached the wall to the floor
@Ollaris Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Good idea if you have the space! How is it holding up?
@charlevoix418 Жыл бұрын
@@Ollaris We spraided contact cement on both faces: if you start wrong, you can't reposition the GRP... Seven years later, still holding fine. BTW, I didn't have space: I built a temporary table to fabricate the walls then, dismantled it, then entered the frame in my garage, installed the caravan floor and attached the walls to it.

That looked like a HUGE pain in the ass! Turned out beautiful though. Are you planning on leaving it white, or painting it a different color?
@Ollaris Жыл бұрын
It was! I’m so thankful that I had helped, physically and mentally! Honestly, not in a million years! Imagine all the prep work to get good adhesion on this structure. Not to mention that It would take a lot of paint and it would never look as flawless as the factory paint. I know it looks boring and like a fridge, but i hope with all the trim and windows it’ll look ok-ish . I’m planing to get some vinyl decor on it eventually.
@ADBBuild Жыл бұрын
@@Ollaris Yeah, that's a good point, the prep would be awful.
