As I have said in other posts, Nate laid down the two most technically difficult, yet artistically balanced programs in men's figure skating history. He skated to win and his legacy is intact. He has not a thing to prove. I would be thrilled if he moved on.
@divinearia16012 жыл бұрын
He doesn't have anything to prove. I think people just love his skating too much to want him to move on. Ultimately, it is his decision and he should do what's best for himself and his future career. The fans will be fine with whatever he chooses.

C'mon, Nathan! Don't yield to public expectation or pressure for you to compete again in 2026. I wish you move on with new chapters and great success in Yale. Statistics and data science is the foundation of AI which is HOT as rocket flames to fly high in the current market/economy. I hope you end your career as a competing figure skater on a high note rather than drag a physically declining body passing your pinnacle and go downhills. Other skaters including famous ones had unwisely done so, not taking defeat well and ended up looking miserable in competitions. I'm sure you'll make wise decisions.

Ugh. "Chinese guy"??? Being of Chinese descent doesn't make you any less American than your neighbor who might be of German or of English descent. This is so offensive. Someone else was asking why the US was using Asian athletes in the Olympics instead of "home-grown American athletes". Talk about being racist AND ignorant. For example, Nathan was actually born and bred in the US. He's 1,000 percent a home-grown American athlete. Just because he's of asian descent and not caucasian doesn't mean he's not a real American. Same with the others!

Nobody in America really cares about Nathan Chen. In a few months he will be forgotten till the next Olympics. However to show to Eileen Gu that she made a big mistake by spurning America and competing for China, some media people have decided on this horse and pony show. The sad thing is Nathan Chen is incredible, he deserves praise but what he is getting now is false praise.
