I watched a Robin Wong video on Lightning. Can't wait to do one of those. Always wondered how people got lightning shots. This live composite mode will make it so easy. Waiting for next storm and fire works. I think Queens birthday coming up. Lots of fun this Live composite mode.

@@robdido I have a shot of lightning that I took last summer. It’s easy, the hardest part being focusing. In the old days you just left the shutter open and crossed fingers.

Very Informative video !!!! I am assuming that you kept the picture in the "Natural" mode on the super control panel ? Should I stay with ISO 200 if I try this ? And, lastly I am assuming the F stop and exposure compensation chosen is a matter of experimentation and taste ? Thanks and let me know....

Hi Bill. Yeah I always keep it in natural profile as a rule but you could muck around with others, but that only effects the JPG file, not the RAW if you turned RAW on as well. ISO I always try to keep it at 200 as that is the base ISO and best for less grain. Exposure time per image and aperture will determine the the base exposure (the first photo) and then when you start new light will be added. So yeah you can experiment with how you want the first photo to look like by adjusting aperture, say if you want the base photo to have more depth of field, darker, lighter or perfectly exposed. But yeah great question, got me thinking.

@@robdido WOW...thanks for the great explanation and quick reply. I too use an OM-D EM10 Mark II and am very happy with it !!!!! Just trying to experiment with some of the features that I have not used. A bit off topic. I just purchased a Lumix 14mm F2.5 prime lens that my local camera store had on sale. Very impressed with the image quality for about $150.00 US dollars !!! Works just fine on the Olympus camera

Yeah. Em10 ii does so much for its price. Still a powerful camera. Pano lenses work seamlessly with Oly. Thats a bargain. I just got my first adapted lens. A 300mm Tamron f5.6 from the 1980s.. 100 bucks.. weighs a ton.. LOL

@@robdido Roberto: I use lots of adapted lens with my Olympus OM-D camera. You can pick up some nice vintage lens from Konica, Pentax, Ricoh etc.. Most of them are dirt cheap on e bay. The M42 screw on lens are also a good value. I've had good luck with the inexpensive Fotodiox adapters. Average price range is around 15 to 20 US dollars. My Konica adapted lens produces STUNNING images !!!

Love the one with the flower and the cd. Good stuff. I tried it once with a cd and flash. Took me about half an hour and still could not have good light on the bottom half of the cd. Mind you, I had it in an upright position so maybe that was a mistake.

One question - does High resolution Mode works in manual mode without using a tripod or only if I shoot with a tripod? I mean if I take photos with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mk II. Because I've heard a lot of people talk about the possibility of this mode only in the M1 series cameras.

I have the em10ii and that doesn't have highres mode. I nelieve the em1ii has tripod high res and the em1 mark iii has handheld hifh res mode now
