Good morning Omniel: First, I simply want to say "Thanks" for your continued efforts to provide us with something interesting to watch every Sunday morning. As for myself, I always make myself some type of coffee drink to enjoy while viewing... I think you did a pretty good job with your explanation of the water pressure building while using an espresso machine. I'm actually glad this weeks offering was a little shorter than many others because I will be leaving our house earlier than normal today. Thanks and take care, Kerry

That's exactly how we do things too! We'll tell people where we go that has good service, food, or whatever, but we don't post the places we don't have anything good to say about. So, when you say something is good, I know it's tasty, Lol! It's the best way to not burn bridges while still keeping it real. We still personally thank them for the gift, but if we don't like it for whatever reason we will just leave it be. I have had some bad donuts day, LMAO!!! Thanks so much for sharing, buddy! ~ London

Oh my friend, thanks for making me famous 😂😂😂. And thanks for all the efforts you're putting in all of your content. 👍👍👍 BTW... me always searching for : answers to Oly's questions 😂😂😂. Well explained... hope that helps some new Bianca owners. For me, I was just wondering, how you can build up that much pressure, having the paddle at 6 or even at 9 (like in this video). Had 4 Biancas at my place yesterday, and all refused to build any pressure with the paddle at 6-7 (barely no water flow). 🤷♂️ most likely an Euro configuration. US-boys need to have at least a 270 degrees toy. 😂😂😂
@OmnielCapote2 ай бұрын
@oly7744 Oly, does Lelit configure the Bianca differently for different countries? That could explain a lot, but I definitely didn't know that.

Oly, Your machine should allow pressure profiling, if not, you have a problem, that your retailer needs to address. I suggest you make some inquiries with them! My warranty claim on a different issue was resolved quickly and I have had no issues with my replacement Bianca.

@offwiththeirheads4635 Hello my friend. Apparently Oly is not the only one with the issue, I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. I might have to talk about it again. Take care bud, and have a great day.
@oly77442 ай бұрын
@@offwiththeirheads4635 hi Actually pressure profiling works. Also pre-infusion and low-flow, though I'll think i can handle it better with the paddle. For us it is just like... at 9h there is no/barely water flow... at 7h a little, but would take too long to build up pressure for a drinkable shot. We use the paddle from 6h/5h till fully open. That is why I was wondering seeing the chef's paddle at 8h and still going above 8+ bars. 🤔
@offwiththeirheads46352 ай бұрын
@@oly7744 noted, then maybe the needle within the paddle may require adjusting so that the water debit reflects other Bianca users' experiences.
@oly77442 ай бұрын
@OmnielCapote the feedback (non-official)... everything is fine... with the paddle working @6h/5h. No need to worry - trying to adjust will fail. That's all we got from the technical side. There is also nothing wrong with paddles working from 11h till fully opened. Though users might find it less accurate. Might be, they changed the valves somewhen. Who cares...let's brew🥰

No issues with the video mate, didn't even notice any glitch. Must have been the excellent editing on your part! The music during the cinematic bits though... sorry, not for me 🙅♂ On a separate note, how come I sometimes can't get up to 9 bar even though pressure builds fine up to 2 to 3 bar for the pre-infusion? Is it because the puck broke down during the pre-infusion stage?
@OmnielCapote2 ай бұрын
@jowyong6769 Good morning, and thank you for your comment. First, let's talk about the music. What is your favorite? I like to mix it up. For the most part, I play a nice relaxing jazz in the background, but I like all different genres. What would you like to hear? I will try to make a cinematic transition with it, if it's appropriate. As to the pressure on your machine. When you say that "pressure builds fine up to 2 to 3 bar," how far is the paddle open at this stage? If the paddle is barely open, say around 8 or 9 o'clock, you shouldn't run into an issue getting to 9 bar. If the paddle is mostly open when you are doing preinfusion, say maybe around 3 to 4 o'clock, then puck integrity can come into questions, as you suspect. It is unlikely that if you reach 2 to 3 bar for preinfusion with the paddle mostly closed at around 8 to 9 o'clock, puck integrity can ruin the shot and not allow you to reach 9 bar. Does this make sense? Perhaps I can revisit this subject on another video. Let me know, and have a wonderful day.

@@OmnielCapote Thanks for the detailed reply Omniel. Yeah, nice relaxing jazz or some lofi stuff would be better I feel. Pertaining to pressure, I try to follow exactly what you do for your slayer shots. I'm getting better at it but sometimes (I believe my grind size was too coarse), too much coffee comes out during the pre-infusion, like 2+ grams, before the ramp up. This are the occasions where I fail to reach 9 bar...
@OmnielCapote2 ай бұрын
@jowyong6769 Hello again!! I agree, nice relaxing jazz is probably best, but I mix it up so that everyone gets a little something. When you try to pull a Slayer shot, what are you looking for as an overall shot time, maybe like one minute? Definitely if it's starts dripping too much during the low pressure part of the shot, the grind is too coarse. Let me know, I'm interested. Have a wonderful day my friend.
@jowyong67692 ай бұрын
Hi Omniel 👋 yeah about a minute. Hell, I just do what you do. 20 to 30 sec pre-infusion, then 30 secs at 9 bar
@OmnielCapote2 ай бұрын
@jowyong6769 OK, perfect. So you probably need to grind finer. During the low pressure phase of the shot, you shouldn't get more than 2 grams in the cup. Are you on a Niche?
