Same here! I'm also someone who loves everything, does everything, and feels stressed by the amount of languages and instruments I can't learn, the places I won't visit, the people I won't meet, and the careers I won't have in my lifetime. But as the person above said, just try doing it all. We're so lucky to be alive right now, where we have KZbinrs teaching violin, tailoring, and ballet for free, where you can Google how to get started as a writer and patterns for making clothes and order the perfect fabric off of any number of websites. I'll let you know, as an ex-music major and ballet dancer, you can get a good quality violin for fairly inexpensive off of Craigslist, Marketplace or eBay and ballet shoes are less money than you'd think. Highly recommend watching some videos on the basics and dropping into beginner classes :)

Hm... I don't care for getting personal in YT comments, but hopefully someone reads and resonates with this: So this year was my first attempt at a fair chance at perfumery school, but I didn't get in. What made it worse is I knew that I did well, but the timing wasn't right for whatever reason Anyway, the rest of the year was full of drama, office politics... the usual BS, but I learned a lot, especially this month. The most important thing I learned is how often I held myself back, mostly by being a perfectionist. So many opportunities were lost because I didn't feel ready, didn't have enough information, felt unqualified, felt stubborn, etc. And even though I pride myself on being the calm, analytical one, I realized that, at times, I can be incredibly anxious and terribly hard on myself. So, about halfway through the year, I decided to take the f**k it attitude and just do whatever the hell I wanted. I changed my work hours, started taking classes for leisure, went back to pampering myself and, most importantly, started interacting with the outside world again. So less online time, more real world time. There were still road bumps of course, but I'm a happier and more emotionally connected person and am (hopefully) on track to finally getting out of this city. Like you said, when one door closes, a window opens. Let's see if this window is somewhere in France. Anyway, it's 5 in the morning here. I was woken up by some obnoxious drunk guy revving up his engine outside my building. Maybe that was fate lol I'm going back to sleep, but hopefully someone resonated with this chunk of text. Also, the ending song sounds like the Ice Dance track from Edward Scissorhands. Is that your favorite movie?

My manager at work left her partner with 2 kids. And now years later has a new partner who is good for her and she is doing well. Stay strong!! All the best for you and your child. Same :) 30 hit me like a wall. I have done so much and yet professionally “accomplished” so little. My success doesn’t fit a traditional definition. My in laws give me such a hard time. No one has ever talked down to me like they do. I didn’t think it would phase me, but hateful words just have a tendency to linger and distort reality. But! I’m almost 31 and this video has really helped me realize it’s not over yet. I still have plenty of time because Im still willing to keep at it.

I was working a stressful job the past couple of months and I’m so happy that it’s over because when I was there I noticed everyone around me seemed to either hate it there or only stayed for the money. I didn’t want to grow old there and put my dreams on a back burner just to remain a corporate slave. I look forward to next year being the year I can finally shut up and go because I’ve outgrown this small island where I live and I want to see new places. The thing you did by burning your manifestations was so cathartic to watch because I also use fire in a meaningful way. When I am plagued with bad thoughts I write them down and let the flame from my candles eat them away. Thank you for being open about your life and sharing your light with us Shay. I think the universe is really listening to me because I NEEDED this video right now haha. Currently I'm about to start my last semester of community college before I transfer but I am just so confused about what I want to do with my life and how I want to go about my college experience. I'm actually considering not transferring and becoming an au pair just so I can get back to Paris (where I really want to be haha). I might even just stay in France and apply to a university there. I'm a college student studying business and art and after spending my whole day doing online business school I watch a few of your videos and then i make art for hours until i want to go to bed. friend, 2019 has been a very hard year for me. I moved into a small old house on my own which I adored but the summers here get to 120 f degrees and man was I suffering. While living here I lost three pets. One was sick, one was old, and the other was in a very sad accident. It’s been tough losing my little family I haven’t felt happy and let stress out onto my partner. He’s recently broken up with me but after watching your video I feel okay. I am 24. Always dreamed about becomming a dancer. I started a little bit of dancing when i was 15. Throughout the years. I saw younger girls exceeding at dancing so i gave up eventually thinking that i could not be good a it anyway. I was also letting myself get overwelmed by my family issues and drama et my own insecurities. I am from a small island originaly but moved to France since may 2022. After my boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me, i had to learn to be alone and how to love myself. In that process that took several months... I finally healing. Dancing at home everyday for an hour.( well almost everyday.) Thinking about me and what dreams i want to pursue. Also i am probably going back to school in France next year at 25 years old. Thank you soooooo much for your videos. They have really helped me in my process of feeling better without putting too much pressure on me.

Ah, it's so nice to hear these words of wisdom. I'm in a difficult place right now where I don't know what the next step in my career is going to be (I don't have a job lined up for the summer & afterward, and I don't want to go back to the seasonal job I'm doing now...technically not now because the season starts back up in the spring right now I'm unemployed) as well as confronting emotions that I've been suppressing for like years. Logically I know that I'll be okay but sometimes hearing it from someone else is all it takes to help make that shift in mindset.

You know, I think it’s really interesting to go back and watch this spectacular video, especially during this trying moment where we are all stuck home; (p.s this really helped me thank you, and thank you to the people in the comments; seeing such wonderful people persisting to challenge difficult situations gives me hope for my own yucky situation) I am not religious but I think that we are somewhat being tested and I don’t see this as a punishment but rather an opportunity. From what I see, in some ways we have much more time now! To invest ourselves in our hobbies and I believe in this saying that goes, ‘boredom sparks creativity’ I find a lot of truth in that, there’s so much to do. Imagining right now so many people need a video like this, more people have to remind themselves to live in NOW and not the past. I’ve seen so many people who constantly show us that there’s always a way to make something work, yes it’s challenging but the outcome is always worth it :) like Shayna says, that our lifetimes are not limited to one story and that we should see it as an opportunity and not as a situation that guarantees us as ultimate failures!!! Love you all kindred minds :) and stay safe!❤️
