On My Radar: Nintendo Direct 9/14/23 (Very Late)

Geez how late can I be with this one? It's almost 2 months behind schedule. If it wasn't for one particular title getting announced I would've just canceled this entry altogether. Now to get back to work on the other projects I'm late with as well. Enjoy. :)

No joke, when the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake was announced I went full monke mode and could not stop going bananas.

Gosh, I know what it’s like to drop everything to work on a project. My Smash Bonanza Month project that I announced last week (with its first video releasing very soon at the time of typing this) was over TWO YEARS in the making with a lot footage from five separate Smash Bros. games that I needed to record. Of all the games that released in that time, the only game I put a substantial amount of time into was Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I’ve barely touched Tears of the Kingdom because of this. And I’m actually still working on one of the lists for the project. But hopefully I’ll get some time soon to really dive into the games I’ve missed. Hope things go well on your end, too!

Thanks, and yeah it really does put a lot of mental stress to want to do so many projects but it feels like each one needs to be solely focused to come out just right.

When Thousand Year Door was announced, i thought: "The internet and CJs server is going to explode". I really do love this game though not as enthusiastic as everyone else. I'm glad we can play this and Mario RPG on the go now.

You know what other outfit I'm thinking of for Princess Peach to wear in her recent Showtime game: *Ballerina.* Considering the stage-play theme to the game, maybe dress Peach up in a tutu, tights, and pointer shoes so she could dance the night away. Maybe have it as an update content for the holiday season for a *Nutcracker* performance. What do you think, CJ?

I'll be honest... even with the TTYD remake, I wasn't really feeling any of the new games announced. I know, as a long-time Paper Mario fan, I _should_ be excited about that remaster, but given what's been going on with the PM fanbase ever since SPM (let alone Sticker Star), I can't help but feel that it's only going to make things _more_ volatile, not less. Yeah, let's just say that I have some strong feelings about many of my fellow older fans. With that said, I'm with you on the Kid Icarus Uprising remake/remaster. Also, since you brought up the topic of GameCube remakes, I'd like to throw the Lost Kingdoms games into that ring yet again, because the first game is my biggest GILBNOED and I've never been able to find a copy of the second.

I’m really waiting for that Kid Icarus Uprising HD Remake. No matter how Long it takes. If they can Fix the controls and make them less awkward to Play. I’d buy it in a Heartbeat!

TTYD remake is very special as it's the second remake of a Mario rpg it makes me wonder if they are testing the water for RPGs for Mario in the future. I so wonder if the TTYD remake will become like SPM announced for one console then moved to next gen

I know Paper Mario was the best announcement for most people, and I understand why, but F-Zero 99 was honestly my favorite part of the direct. While I would have preferred a remaster of GX, I'm just happy F-Zero finally returned, and 99 is really fun.

Kinda weird you gave TTYD remake slack for not having ANYTHING new on it’s debut announcement but hand waved SMRPG remake for the same thing despite that there were new things like the combo gauge, ! Icon for starting action, moves that state you can’t block them, and triple moves Kinda saying you and other people are pulling a Goombella when Ms. Mowz kissed Mario at hooktail castle

Not really, at first I didn't hear anything new about Mario RPG but look at that, we got info on it. I would like to hope that TTYD will get some new features or New Game Plus. That's just something that will benefit everyone.
