I had the privilege of meeting Frank Gorshin when he was staying at a hotel where I was working. He was performing at a local comedy club. This was in the early 90s in Atlanta. He was so nice and polite. No ego at all. Just a pleasant guy who’s easy-going manner made you feel very comfortable. I was bartending and he was sitting at the bar having a cup of coffee before his upcoming show. We were having just a regular, casual conversation. I received a phone call from a friend of mine and told him I was talking with Frank Gorshin. This friend was a fan, especially of the episode of Star Trek in which Gorshin appeared. He asked if he could talk to him. I asked Mr. Gorshin if he would say hello to this friend of mine on the telephone. He said absolutely. No hedging. No divergence. He was a true gentleman. And his agent handled out free passes to anyone on the staff to attend the show that night. More celebrities should be that approachable. He is missed!

I met him in the '80s when he was touring in the musical On the 20th Century. What a great production!! I was working as an usher at the theater (I saw and met a lot of stars back then). We ushers were able to hang out a bit after one of the performances for maybe 10 minutes before he was driven back to his hotel. He was a big chain smoker. That's the one thing that sticks with me. He was very pleasant, warm personality. Nice smile, I remember.

The fact that she said "accidentally on purpose" sort of sounds like, to me, that it wasn't scripted, but she thought it might be funny, so she pretended to trip and fall in to see how it would fly.

My impression was that when they were rehearsing, she accidentally fell in the tub, so they decided to keep it when they filmed it for real. Notice that she not only glances behind her but Frank Gorshin doesn't react. I follow her on Facebook, she's really sweet and each day, gives a shout-out to everyone celebrating their birthday that day!

Kathy Kersh also wore a version of this outfit, but it was sleeveless in the second season. My guess is that it’s not the exact same outfit that Yvonne Craig eventually wore. The costume department probably had access to this material and made multiples. All three actresses look to be different sizes. Yvonne Craig also had stunt doubles and motorcycle doubles.

It appears she looks back behind her before she hits the tub, knowing what she was planning to do - even if she wasn't directed to do it. That being said, she might've been slightly off her mark and lost her balance/control during the fall, but I would say the fall itself was planned.

I have a question. Linda Gaye Scott might have planned her fall, but if only she (and maybe Frank Gorshin) knew, but the director and Adam West didn't know, then what was the original plan for how Batman would capture her character--assuming that she would be captured?

Fun fact. If you've ever wondered why characters on TV shows of this era had such colorful costumes, there's a very good reason. At the time color was new to TV and the colorful costumes were used to show it off. This was also done in sports. Baseball had white home uniforms and gray road uniforms. After the advent of color TV the road uniforms became colorful, (at the time most teams only televised road games). For example the Oakland A's had green pant's and yellow shirts, the Cardinals road uniforms became light blue, and the Pirates had several combinations, all black, all yellow, black pants yellow jersey, yellow pant's black jersey as well as white pants with either a yellow or black jersey.

I only saw it in colour for the first time in the UK around the mid 1980's because we only had a black and white TV in the 1970's when it was shown and I first saw it. Everything looks so colourful and great to watch, Linda is so hot in that outfit though, what a lovely girl❤

Back in the day when most actors had the professionalism to be polite to each other and find ways to make things work for all of them. Unlike today, where everybodys ego has to be catered to. I beilve this is another reason so many people love the older movies and TV shows. You can tell al lot of these people loved what they are doing and had fun doing it, and it shows through their work.

What nonsense. It clearly was planned. She even admits it by using the words "on purpose." You don't use those words AT ALL if it is an accident. Plus, look at Gorshin's reaction. When she fell, he didn't even turn his head to look at her. He knew what she was going to do.
