This movie is based off the surfer Bethany Hamilton. She was 13 when she lost her arm to a shark. She's from Hawaii and i was living on Oahu at the time she was attacked. It was all over our local news. Locals also love to gossip, so i heard everyone talking about it. She still surfs too.

Overall, it's an interesting film, but I don't like the heroization of the characters. People with disabilities are not heroes, they're ordinary people. And what a bulshit with a prosthesi? It's looks like a doll's hand that can be taken and simply put on, without prior adjustment and work with a physiotherapist.
