Some cooking tips for ya: putting a tea towel under chopping board keeps it stable and prevents it from moving around Rinsing quinoa until water runs clear helps get rid of excess starch and the bitter taste, same with rice. When cooking chili, adding spices after the onions are cooked and toasting them for about 30-60 secs on low- medium heat makes them more fragrant and aromatic. Thanks so much for this video! Love your voice covers 💕

Oat bran must be cooked! Please don't give up on it, oat bran is great for those who have trouble digesting oatmeal--like me! You need to give them a little love but they are sooo worth it! Kind of like Cream of Wheat, or hot rice cereal when properly prepared. You can add a *lot* of water to hydrate them, (more than the package directions say) cook them slowly on the stove (maybe 10-15 mins) then add whatever you like and they are creamy and delicious!

I have used tofu-based recipes, recipes that include maca powder, and a whole slew of others. I have tried all of the Daiya ones and they all fell short. This one gives me all the feels. I will be using this recipe every time I need a cheese sauce. Thank you for posting!

Hi Rose, I am fairly new to your channel. I have been a vegetarian for 8 years, but have now decided to try going vegan. I really enjoy all your cooking videos, you make so good and simple food, you are the most pragmatic vegan I have found on youtube! 💪 Thank you so much for all the inspiration! One think I hope you can touch on in a new video is how you store all your mealpreps. Do you freeze them? And I really like the small containers you use, where did you buy them? Also, how do you have enough space for all that storage?! 😂 Anyways, thanks for the video, I will try out that chilli recipe

Loved the video , Wheat Bran is the outer layer of the wheat kernel and an excellent source of dietary fiber, particularly insoluble fiber. Add it to cereal, smoothies and baked goods as a natural fiber supplement to increase your daily intake, So with oats its two separate ingredients .

Oat bran is actually the outer layer of oat grain that's left after processing ;) So it's not really a kind of oats but still very healthy and filling!

@@norootsnomad1002 I literally just made tacos with this but have been hearing mixed information about it. I really don't eat it often, mainly because I find it hard to mask the mechanical (for lack of better adjective) taste. It is processed, so it is not the best. But it does have some nutrition as well.
@sanityisrelative5 жыл бұрын
I use it to give my spaghetti sauce texture (in place of ground meat, which is what I grew up eating). I still eat some meat, but I've never liked the way meat sauce gets super greasy. Very unappetizing. So I've used tvp for a few years now (used to use Morningstar Farms veggie crumbles, but I can get tvp in bulk for *super* cheap).
@glcnornes37835 жыл бұрын
Bambi V depending on the brand, the chemicals used in the production (like hexane for example) can be left in the product. So as I said above, using it every so often is better than it being a go to source of nutrition that can be easily found in whole foods. Edit to add: I’ve checked a few brands online but can’t seem to find any that list zinc on the nutritional information. Which brand is it you use?
@ibelieveimalex5 жыл бұрын
You should try adding in your spices while you're frying the onions+garlic - I feel like it makes the spices taste better and avoids the powdery taste you sometimes risk when adding in the boiling stage!
