But outside of the given strength difference, there isn't really any other differences between the shikai and bankai; no new abilities, just cut shit up even more powerful. I know it's harmless, but when you compare it to other bankais that differ significantly from their initial release (Shunsui, Urahara) it comes off as disappointing and not creative, ESPECIALLY since he still ended up losing the last fight.

michael dorsey Yeah, but we're comparing Oni and Kenpachi, even if the Bankai was disappointing in the series what matters in this fight is power. Kenpachi's raw power > Onis raw power. And also saying that there is no new abilities to Kenpachi's Bankai is just a sin if you have read bleach, Yachiru had a Shikai of its own, which created entities of unknown usage. We did not see Kenpachi's Bankai full extent, and that is all thanks to the harsh and forced ending bleach had to endure.

Zaraki Kenpachi's bankai is the form in which his body becomes completely red with black lines (traditional oni demon) and his massive axe turns into a tiny hand axe (looks like ichigo's shikai broken in half and badly damaged). In that form he can stop a mountain sized enemy's punch with just his teeth, then rip it's massive arm off with said teeth, then chop the mountain sized enemy in half. yeah this video severely underestimates zaraki's full power

Someone may want to check his family tree for a Ryoga Hibiki, now that I think about it). +Riako Yeah, I understand there's 'no research'... Though, based on how a number of fights in past episodes have gone, I'd be willing to outright call bullshit and say they are secretly doing research (The ONLY example I can think of where no research was really done was Dante vs. Ragna). The fact they no longer openly state in the opening sequence also makes one wonder.... Either way, 'no research' is not an excuse for 'no change'. All this really feels like is a misstep for the start of the fourth season of a great series.

@@wooly4648 The character Oni isn't really canon to the actual street fighter lore. He's more of a "What if" scenario of akuma was to fully master the Satsui no hado. So really you can take almost anything as cannon for the character Oni, but not for akuma. So while you can say that hypothetically Oni could be above start level like asura, you couldn't say the same for akuma because in cannon akuma hasn't done anything to prove he is. But since Oni himself isn't cannon, anything he does does do is cannon for that character. So I'd say Oni is definitely star level, but Akuma, not so much.

For All of you Complaining 1. If you look closely, Kenpachi’s skin is red, a side effect of his bankai 2. The sword isn’t actually isn’t in Bankai form. His Bankai form sword has a shorter hilt, and part of the blade is Missing. 3. Akuma in his base form is able to punch a moon in half. Not considering by his Shin form is Stronger that that, and the fact that Oni can punch volcanos into erupting, and punch the moon into obliteration with 1-2 punches. Pretty sure Kanpachi doesn’t stand a chance against Oni

Except that the Raging Demon is dealing different type of damage than the one Kenpachi is usually taking. The Raging Demon destroys the opponent's soul and the only way to evade it is to use the Power of Nothingness, to counter with another Raging Demon or to separate the soul from its body, and since Kenpachi is literally a soul, there is no way for him to evade or survive that attack, so the Raging Demon is the perfect way to take him down.

It didn't stop this match up between Kenpachi (swordsman) vs. Oni Akuma (Brawler), and the fight still looked good and the brawler still won three time. Also, there isn't much too similar between the JoJos and Akihiko Sanada outside of punching and they allhave much more in common with, because the JoJos all have secondary powers with their Stands; the Persona 5 protagonist is supposed to be a teenage delinquent who moonlights as a criminal for noble reasons just like the 5th JoJo is. Personally, I think Josuke should fight Yu (though it's likely Jotaro because both are well-liked and iconic protagonists that made pushed the series into the mainstream and having strongly similar character development. While both being apathetic smartasses at the start who cared less about friendship or even leading the charge until they both eventually took over leadership after someone they began to respect was in grave danger; Joseph from being invaded by Lovers and Yukiko who, unlike the others, went missing for a while and had no idea about the Shadows and seeing Chie's devotion to her. These moments also created the iconic lovable bad-asses we know now.
