Don't need a move, just a swing thought. "Hit to 200 yards, hit it 200 yards, hit it 200 yards". I do this with every tee shot with my driver and not only is it a smooth swing but I hit the ball further and far more accurate. I do this with my irons as well, I just tell myself "50 percent, 50 percent".

Clay - love all your training videos! - question on the Precision Impact product - you mention having the click/wrist bend stay quiet until you turn and lift later in the backswing but in watching their instructor he says to get the click/wrist bent right away - look forward to your reply, thanks!

Hi Stephen. this is Mike, the developer of Precision Impact. I see you have purchased one -- I hope it's working out for you. Anyway regarding your question, here's what I 'think' Clay was communicating. I know there are a lot of tour players (Stricker comes to mind), that dont load their wrist (create the angle) until the transition and they create excellent shallowing of the swing path and clubhead lag. I also think that particular drill is an excellent way to 'exaggerate' the feeling of shallowing out the club and creating shaft lean -- which BTW very few folks are good at. If/when you nail that feeling and and make contact with the ball with shaft lean, you will definitely know it. The sound, pure contact, ball flight will be amazing. It took me a while to nail it 'and' engrain it in muscle memory but it was well worth it. HC was 25, in one year down to 8!! Feel free to contact me as well - my info is on the website.

I watched the precision impact video and from what I know about the golf swing, this was made for your irons only because with the driver your hands and the club head are in a straight line when it comes to the impact of the ball but in the video I just watched they show the man using a driver and I wouldn’t think that you would use this impact device with a driver am I correct because in the video they show him and you see his hands back and you can see that his hands his wrist are not set back it’s almost like it’s flat so I’m a little confused when they show the guy using the driver, but I think it looks great for your irons but not sure about the driver. I have an issue now that I’ve never had before … I’ve only played for a few years but I always missed shots out to the right, I had some instruction and built a stock shot that essentially gave me a baby fade shape instead of the big slice … recently I’ve been trying to hit that same stock shot and three rounds in a row I’m hitting a draw or a big hook, and it’s really difficult when I’m expecting a fade and it draws or hooks … this is mainly in my irons … not sure what’s going on

I just had a golf lesson and one of the things that I have seen you do but never talk about it was the position of the right knee during the downswing. My instructor said that I should have my right knee move towards my left knee, in order to rotate my hips. Still trying to get comfortable with that and create muscle memory. Maybe you could talk about it in a future video.

I notice with shaft lean and turning my wrist down during impact my ball flight it really low. It’s great for nailing the ball cart but not to functional on the course. What could cause this? Someone said get higher launch shafts.

Does it go low with a pure strike or is it that your thinning a lot of shots? I find it hard to believe that you can create so much shaft lean that you can’t get any height so it must be strike related, however try moving the ball forward in the stance for more height and see if this has an affect.

I dont understand how and why using this aid and losing 10mph swing speed is beneficial. Wouldnt using a training aid that alters such a basic swing characteristic be detrimental and unrelatable to a swing with wearing the aid?
