The quality of the components in an amplifier are essential. I remember I got a demo at mad marks stereo in Bradenton Florida 20 years ago,the employee had 4 10 inch Jl w3 powered by a mmatts 1000 watts,it was phenomenal,it felt like a tornado in there literally! Back then that amplifier was $1000! God bless y’all!

@johnregister6437Ай бұрын
I liked the old hcca amps, but to get good power from them they had to be at a very low ohm load, which reduced the dampening factor, so they lost control of the woofers

So I have a 2016 chevy high country. 2 speakers in the back door 2 in the front. 2 on the dash (Bose) I’m going to run a 6ch amp. But the amp I chose to run, I’ve seen dyno tested. And pushed past its max. Ct sounds atv2-150.6d. 1500w 6ch. I’d go the same route for a sub amp. If it has been tested on a dyno and passed then that’s the amount I get. Idc if the amp cost $200 or $1000 if it doesn’t pass the test, then it isn’t purchased.

I got a box test for you. Try making a basic slot port box out of Advantech plywood flooring. Keep the slick side inside the box. I made a dual 6” box out of it once and it was loud as hll. The plywood is compressed and the slick side is just that,super slick.

Done two builds on old early 2000s GM fwd platform. I had way bigger issues with the car not being able to produce enough power moreso than anything with the length of the power/ground wire. Emphasis on good electrical connections is good anyhow. For audio at higher wattages i run wire from alt to battery positive. Also ran an additional ground to batt negative to the alternator case. Additional ground batt negative to chassis as well. Upgrading the power positive wire to super gigantic huge wire is pretty useless without adding a bigger wire for the ground ... Otherwise you are just using the original grounds and limited by them.

MB speaking truth...i had a Audio control LC1500.1 with a damping of 600 and 2 ohm stable putting out around 1500-1700 watts but i wanted 1-ohm capability so i picked up a B2 Audio Rage 2500.1 v2....and immediately noticed a drop in quality of sound. The B2 is a great amp but it doesnt process the same as the AC amp....even though it has twice the power the sound is punchier and more geared toward hard hitting bass versus sound quality bass....truth be told im probably not getting much over 1000 watts on either amp.....which is plenty for me.....current set up is the B2 amp in 4 1506 subs ported tuned to 35......it slams. But i kind of prefer a more subtle smoother sound of the B2 Audio Rampage 8 (2) on the Rage amp....or even better the JL audio 8W7 on the audio control amp.....different animals all together for sure...its fun to have both.

Does 2 runs of 1/0 have a lower resistance of that seat bracket? Does 2 runs of 1/0 have a lower resistance that your frame? Without those answers the length of those grounds is meaningless. Also the connection to the seat bracket and the connection from the bracket to the frame also have resistance. Please stop making videos on electrical theory. You are way out of your depth.

Not to mention a random bolt won’t go to the frame unless it’s a body mount bolt and even at that it’s insulated. Better off to drill hole to go straight to the frame or straight to the battery. I would like to see the bottom of that bolt to see if it’s just a seat bolt
