One pot dal recipe

This one pot dal recipe is my husband’s favorite meal ever!
It’s quick, super easy, tastes delicious.. I have to make it whenever I’m pressed for time or just craving something simple and easy.
Ingredients I used:
- 1/2 cup toor Dal
- 1/4 cup moong dal
- 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 3/4 tsp cumin seeds
- pinch of hing
- 3 to 4 green chillies (or as preferred)
- few curry leaves
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- 3 to 4 garlic, smashed
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 and 1/2 tomatoes, diced
- 5 cups water
- salt
- turmeric
- red chilli powder
- coriander leaves

I hav seen throughout my childhood this kind of dal prepared at home. To be honest I never relished its taste and use to eat very less. But once I learned to cook daal in proper way. Boiling separately and mixing g tadka afterwards I like daal. If someone likes one pot daal only then go for it.
