Michael, Intriguing video. I view it as the first of two elements: 1: WHEN THE BALL IS IN THE AIR 2: WHEN THE BALL IS ON THE GROUND The idea is to control any ball in the air to the ground to either dribble, pass, or shoot. It really is to use the most important thing in play, and that is TIME. Space gives you TIME Control gives you TIME TIME gives you the ability to carry out desired actions instead of having to react to pressure, whether with or without the ball. This is how I ‘sell’ it to players. Technique is the single successful application of control on the ball. Skill is the successful application of technique/s at the right place or moment in time. It’s like learning the alphabet.. By themselves, each letter is a stand alone unit, but when connected in the right sequences they ‘communicate’ actions to everyone else.
