I had a baby girl at 41. Got pregnant at 40 and she was born when I was 41. 😅such a blessing I thought I would never be a mom.

Our 40s are by far our best years! We already in our late 40s but we are so grateful for all the accumulated wisdom we have gained to this point. It will set us up to build our retirement.

I had a baby at 39 after 12 years of not being able to get pregnant. It happened when I gave up. I’m 41 now I do feel old but my baby is a blessing.

Scarlett thank you for sharing your thoughts on being 42! Social media is awash in glamorizing youth so it’s so refreshing to see someone in their 40’s talk about how good life can be in this era!

Gurlllll...hmmm...you have spoken about so many things in your life that resonate with me. The kids and the lack of closeness with your family. It is also liberating when you accept what is and let go of what not is. It truly lifts that burden off of your shoulders when you do that. Forties is truly an eye opener. Wisdom is real at this age for most. Wishing you all the best for yoru next year around the sun. Health and strength. Blessings to you and your family 😊

The second half of this video resonated with me. I'm 41 without children and realizing that door is shutting. I have a family member that I have been estranged from for over 10 years and am learning to accept it. Just moving forward with life as it is.

Be helpful in someone else’s life. There are millions of kids that need help and their parents aren’t enough. You can coach kids and prob get fulfillment or foster care. There’s much to do to feel connected to people

49 year old mom here of three adult children…ages 20, 26, 31. The empty nest syndrome is very real and after mommying 30 years, navigating this new “life” is scary and different and just trying to figure out what I like, how I like it, etc because I’m not ripping and running and running and ripping! We do a lot as moms so embracing the change and being able to take a step back and focus on self is NICE!!

This is really encouraging. I think many of us need to do this reflection beyond self care - giving ourselves grace for the ways life did not work out.

This video n the comment section feels very encouraging, it’s making me feel positive & excited about my 40s!! I just turned 34 and was getting overwhelmed by the entire “your life’s over once you hit 30s” narrative circulating over the internet however I decided to block it all out n just live my life n enjoy it without worrying too much. Best decision ever 😇

I resonate with the second half of your video so much ❤I remarried in 2019, got pregnant and miscarried in 2020. Here we are 40 years old and I don’t share a child with my husband . I wanted this so badly and it’s just not in the cards for us. It’s been a hard pill to swallow. Yet at the same time it’s freeing to know my daughter is almost done with high school and I can truly focus on helping her transitions into adulthood vs another kid & having all the responsibilities while trying to help my daughter ❤ what a blessing to get older .

Happy Birthday! You are correct with that reflection. I did a paper test, folded it in 10 sections and tore off the time I've lived - the time I would still be in great shape and was scared that the time was ticking a lot faster. Great perspective.
