I'm a homless 56 year old. I bought one of these tents, I only used it a few times, I prefer to sleep under the stars. It's a very good tent. When I was solvent, I used to enjoy wild camping in Scotland. I have had tents by North Face, and Mountain hardware. This is very good value for money. If set up right, it would be a good mountain shelter. Highly recommended.

I bought this tent a fair few months ago. Used it in the woods and taken it hiking in Wales. Keep the inner connected at all times and not had it leak on me yet in some pretty heavy rain. Anyone who reads this I would definitely recommend it 👍🏻

I personally really like the red cords and their nowhere near bright enough if you using the tent somewhere where a few beers are going to be consumed, like silverstone next weekend 😉 Also you could have turned this into one of those "camping from Aldi for under 100 quid" videos, I absolutely loved them when you did them! My Robins tent uses the same method of putting in the poles, they only go in from one side. I like the idea, saves faffing around locating two ends of the pole.

Looks a good value tent. Outer first 👍, good hydrostatic heads👍, side entrance👍, reasonable size👍, can pack inner and outer connected👍, good ventilation 👍. There are lots of reasons that I prefer it over my alpkit solo xl... just the weight and pack size counts against it for me. (agree about the red)

I thought the same thing when I saw the red. I immediately thought that if it were my tent I would use fabric dye or something to change the red to a green or brown. And absolutely give the negative person the boot. There's no need for people like that to be bothering you. You are too nice to have that horrible person harassing you, so give him the boot. .

In the U.S. we use both terms, tent pegs and tent stakes. Tent pegs are the small thin pegs the the tents come with. Tent stakes must be bought separately, or made. Stakes are usually the best bet.

Back in the 70s Karimoor were the best in backpacking gear. Now they only seem to make hiking boots. That tent looks like they're making an inroad again in which case i salute them. Along with karimoor Lichfield were another top make but not so much nowadays . I'm intrigued. Keep the reviews coming. Love watching them.

Hey, Dan. What I was thinking about a rain test is that often times the more budget type tents may have a high hydrostatic head rating, but they don’t tape seal the seams. This means they leak through all the seams during a good rain. This requires to seal the seams yourself. In my opinion, any tent that claims to be waterproof should be waterproof straight out of the box and not require you to modify the tent to make it so. Just my opinion, but would be curious to see how it fairs in a real rain test. Anyway, love your videos!

Yes if a tent claims to be waterproof then it should be waterproof. Sale of Goods Act 2015 states that item should be fit for purpose.

Nice looking tent. Il def try and get one of these as I purchased a used one off fb marketplace a few months ago. Went to Wales last weekend for a night to try it out and the damn thing had a rip all down by thr door so I chucked it away and slept in my car for the night. This tent looks great for me. Really surprised to see an outer first tent going for that price, We all know that Sports Direct "sale" prices are in fact their normal selling prices, so for a sub £70 tent, that looks a good find. I dont mind the red guy lines, my personal preference is yellow or reflective anyway. Thanks for the video. Keep them coming!

Mate, I wouldn't bother mentioning the haters, why give them exposure, just ignore and move on. I quite like this tent as a solo tenter, loads of room and seems quite easy to pitch. The level of waterproofing seems very good, but I do wonder if they tape the seams, this is usually a weak point and can be the downfall of a good weekend out. I only have one quick pitch tent, the OEX PhoxxII and I love it. With a quick reseal each season, it is a fab tent and guess who put me onto it..... I like the red lines as easy to see and less a chance for me to trip over them. Great work and thanks for sharing.

Solid review! Just bought this tent on a whim as it was on sale for £42. Great to see the inner can pack away still connected. The bag appears to be a drybag… has anyone tested if this is the case? I’ll likely have this strapped outside my pack on a hike so would be good peace of mind as my rain cover won’t also cover the tent.

Inner pitch first with the capability of outer pitch first . Are my favourite. I'm old and knackered and will wait for a break in the weather to pitch Inner first so I don't have to scratch around on my hands and knees putting the Inner in. In three years of wild camping I've never had to use the outer first erection method

I’ve just bought this tent. I found the best way to get the thing back in the bag is to put the poles and pegs in first then stuff the inner and outer in. Only took me 60 seconds to bag it up doing it that way. Rolling it up was just a faff

Hi Dan, this tent is the same as the regatta montegra 2 tent, novice wild camper has done a video on it, being 6foot 8 inch tall I have few options for tents, but I fit in the montegra 2, I've used it on Dartmore in quite windy conditions and it held up fine, bot I do like the colour of the panther 2, anyway keep up the good work, your videos are great 👍

Karrimor boots, jackets n trousers are genuinely decent for the money, Boots a hammered for 2 year walking before they fell apart, granted there as waterproof as a sponge, but they are comfortable! Tents decent for the money, would I recommend it for rain no definite no but if it gets someone out enjoying themselves it's gota be a winner on that alone! ATB bud 👍

Was just looking at the tent as it is on sale. I have been looking at the oex phoxx 2 two man tent as well. This one is a tenner cheaper, and as living in Wales, I prefer the outer first, yet you can keep the inner connected, Bonus.😁. And it's only 100g heavier than the oex. Thanks, dude. 👍 I bike pack so weight and things come into effect and don't have a large budget. 👍

I think you can get sharpy pens in most colours now to change red part on tent, as for giveaways, its your channel Dan, so long as it's within KZbin rules, you do what you want, take no notice of the haters mate 👍
