Singapore's proper attire is bermudas/shorts, T shirts and flip-flop slippers. You were dressed perfectly, don't dress up. Don't even make up as the humidity & sweat will mess up all your make up. Actually, Tia don't need any make up -- she's a natural beauty. Have fun! 👍👍

Those trees at the Gardens By The Bay are actually exhaust chimneys for Waste to Energy, use to power up the Gardens. You can't really see any smoke coming out of those tree or rather chimneys.

So, my bet is you shot this episode on a Sunday--maid's day off! One of the really fun sights in Singapore is seeing all the maids gather for picnics on their day off. Largely based around language/country of origin, each ethnic group gathers in particular spots to eat, take selfies and gossip about their employer.

12:16 Shenton Way/ Robinson Road/ Raffles Place is the Wall Street of Singapore and it's commonly called the Central Business District(CBD). Hainanese chicken rice is cooked in chicken fat, garlic and pandan leaves that's why it is so flavourful. Local Singapore coffee is roasted in margarine and sugar which results in that chocolatey taste.

@@OnePackWanderers the secret to Ya Kun eggs is they are cooked sous vide. The traditional way which the coffeeshops do it is simply pouring boiling water over eggs. You get different texture as a result. Not that it's bad, both ways are good, just wanting to manage your expectations

If you are still in SG, suggest you visit the Geylang Serai Bazaar held in conjunction with Ramadan (Muslim fasting month). It is one stop away from Adjunied at Paya Lebar MRT and the best time to go is in the evening around 5 pm for the festive atmosphere. Note there are no seating area at the Bazaar but you could possibly chope seats at the Haig Road Food Centre or Kinex across the road.

If you are still in singapore you can check out sentosa, entrance is free, you just need to walk the boardwalk from vivo city (harbourfront mrt). There are some cool free stuff like the skywalk, some historical stuff like fort siloso and a few beaches there. For the attractions and food, it can get pretty expensive, for the food you can maybe eat at vivo city (largest mall in Singapore) first before going. The botanic gardens is pretty cool as well, you may see swans and otters there. The entrance is free. There is a few trails there, one where there is a bouncy netting 1-2m surrounding a tree (canopy walk), there is the rainforest trail which is like a boardwalk cutting through some forest area. Few ponds there as well, will take around 2-3 hours to finish exploring the entire garden.

Peranakan food is exceptionally good too where you can visit Kim Choo shop for some of the Nonya food. You can exit at Eunos MRT and walk towards Still Road into Joo Chiat. It is one of the most unique neighbourhood in Singapore.

If you get the tourist pass in Singapore, it allows you unlimited travel across all the public buses & trains, also a cheaper way to get to and from the airport. A 24hr Pass is like $11 , 2 day is $23 and 3 day is $33 ( from memory) . You also get a portion of the ticket back ($5) when you return it back at the railway station ticket booth at the airport. What hotel did you two stay at in Geylang ?

The Botanical Garden is beautiful and free. There is also a Relic Temple near the Maxwell Hawker center that is nice. At the Gardens by the Bay is a spectacular indoor greenhouse, but it is expensive. The zoo is great-orangutans freely wander above, but also not cheap. There was a light show on the harbor viewable from the MerLion, but might be better from the Marina Bay sands side. Also hit the Indian (several crazy Hindu temples) and Islamic sections. A beautiful city, but not nearly as inexpensive as Thailand, Malaysia or Vietnam.

That really makes me want to go back to Singapore! I’m transiting through there tomorrow on my way to Europe, but I can’t find a place to get a test in Hoi An & it seems like a lot of work for 1-2 hours in the city anyway. So I'll be stuck in Changi Airport just like you were on your way to Bali. My sister lived right off Orchard Road when I visited in the 90’s, I remember the freezing air from the malls blasting us as we walked by on the sidewalk! It rained buckets for a short time every day, which was always a welcome refresher.

Do check what are the current restrictions in the transit area and if you are allowed to, which airside facilities are open. There's been a lot of relaxation of the measures since early April.

@@davidteh7909 Unfortunately, a negative test is still required to go out of the airport, even fully vaccinated.

@@davidteh7909 Oh sorry! I don't need a test for transit, thank goodness. I don't know what will be available to me in the airport! I will try to get into a lounge, as Tia & Cheveyo did, although I'll be there during the day so it may be more difficult.

There used to be a free tour of Singapore on a bus for transit passengers through Changi. Not sure if it is still available with the current covid situation but you might want to check with the airport staff when you arrive.

If you think using apple pay for metro is convenient, there is something even simpler. In some big Chinese cities they have a facial recognition devices on the turnstiles and you pay using your face, your face is connected with your epayment accounts so you wouldn't even need to take your phone or wallet out in the metro stations, or in supermarkets.

Breakfast = toast with butter and kaya=coconut jam; My favourite brakfast= 2soft boiled eggs and butter toast; .Singapore breakfast; with kaya on butter toast and soft eggs = seems to me tasty ! Rice is always boiled in chicken broth= a simple dish ; but is worth a Michelin Star! Singapore is small Western country and property is valuable; that because the highrises are so dense. OMG ! LOL !!

I would recommend breaking the egg yolks up and stirring it with the whites before eating it, it tastes much better that way 😄

If you manage to get the drone in Singapore, do check on the rules before flying it. Due to the closely built up space here, you can appreciate there will be quite a number of rules to protect the safety and privacy of people and things.
