As a 38 year old, ancient youtube historian, I think it's important to keep warning the world about him. Same with Jeffrey star. That said, I don't thiiiiiink that the current generation will be receptive to him, if anything they have a lower tolerance for bullshit (which I appreciate).
@TarisLuna4 күн бұрын
Plus the fact that the newer generations are much more tech and web literate + less tolerant to people who do the s*hit onion boy does. They will find out about him in no time and that s*hit doesn't fly with them either.

I was out of his demographic when he reached the height of his popularity, so I didn't get why anyone found him funny or interesting. Sadly, I'm pretty sure it was mainly some teens (at the time) liking his looks/humor, but that, alongside tons of cringe and illegal stuff later, successfully removed any implied shine he may have had. What I *will say* about this new generation, is they want absolutely *nothing* do with any part of his looks or his humor. Further still, there's an even greater aim to *out* anyone either behaving like a 'lolcow', or trying to flirt with anyone underage, so he has *truly* aged out of his former fan base.
@marysolarellano28354 күн бұрын
I agree, but also the new gen is going to be much more informed than us as kids, since they've had access to the internet since they were toddlers, so spreading the word like this is important. Not all of them are getting skibidi brainrot, like my sister is almost 5 and she likes to learn about planets. Her whole KZbin is space videos, dress up videos, and toy videos lol. I prefer if she wasn't on the internet, unsupervised so much at 4 years old, but it's not my call and starts fights with our mom and I. I do what I can and block accounts when she is sleeping. Onion man was one of the first bc the lights, songs, and backgrounds he uses can draw in children... very young children.... just like they did me when I was 11

This is Onision _at his most desperate._ Desperate to cling to relevancy, desperate to maintain what little following he still has, desperate for attention and validation... and he's _still_ lashing out at anyone who calls him out on his bullshit, not even _pretending_ to even consider that maybe he did something wrong. He is so narcissistic, so utterly unaware of how horrible he is, that even at his most desperate, all he can do is hurl insults at anyone who disagrees with him or calls him out.

well actually in both of those cases the fact that it was made public and the investigation wasn’t done by law enforcement is exactly why they were able to slide their way out. there’s no way for the court to prove that you haven’t manipulated or fabricated some form of your evidence for your audience, and also investigations have to stay private until court because the public’s reaction can skew a jury

Hey, no worries. I got a ton of submissions from former fans of his on my Tumblr blog (onisionhurtspeople). They usually fell into 1 of 4 caregories: 1. He collaborated with a musician or another KZbinr that they liked, such as Shane Dawson, Jaclyn Glenn, Andy Biersack, or Cyr. 2. He specifically makes videos talking about things that teenagers relate to, like what to do when you're being bullied at school, what to do when your parents are mean to you, gender identity issues, etc. 3. He goes out of his way to comment on things that are popular with teenagers, like certain types of music, clothing styles, games, and TV shows, like "Family Guy", the band "Black Veil Brides", or the game "Life Is Strange". 4. He creates content that specifically makes them feel bad about themselves so that they feel like they need his approval; i.e., his videos about cutting yourself, starving yourself, weight issues, etc. Most of his fans are insecure teenage girls who are desperate for approval and acceptance. They usually grow out of their Onision phase by the age of 18. Normally they're between the ages of 11 and 14. I ran that blog from 2011 to 2020, and all of the submissions from his fans that I got on there fell into one of those 4 caregories, without exception.

And while your body & face prob won’t improve (altho my ex-boss went from being a total dork in his 20s to a very sought after bachelor at 65 & he’s a pain in the ass now), BUT your ability to not GAF, your creativity, your emotional maturity, your expertise, & your confidence keep improving & honestly, I’d rather be 55 than even 35. Def not 25. Overall, life may not get oodles different, but you get better & better at being you, and happier & happier in your own skin. I was needy AF and I don’t even get lonely any more! I’m so freaking calm in a crisis. I am smarter & now people sometimes do what I say just because of my age! Enjoy the age ride, it’s a privilege to decay slowly!

Drifter between X and and Millennial, here. Folks were older Boomers, had me later in life and I just squeaked in near the Millennial timeline. In my early 40s now, but goddamn do I love Gen Alpha. Them kids are great. Kids are kids no matter the generation. Loud and brash and dumb in the same ways everyone was and smart new, different ways. And the pure joy of of a whole new vocabulary of slang. Just a fresh batch of humans all over again. I can't help but see echoes of ourselves superimposed over every single generation past and present. Kids and teens are eternally kids and teens. Back on topic. Found a picture of me and my best friend from over twenty years ago the other day. And the cognitive dissonance I felt realizing I was looking at two functional grown ass adults ALREADY in that two decade old pic was physical painful. The brain is eternally twenty something, stuck WTF-ing in an aging body shocked on the daily when we go to jump out of bed and throw something out of joint.

I'm 27 and I feel ancient, tho it might be gender dysphoria cos I missed out on all my life and like the last bell to take hormones and pass is at like 15, but I only got one a few months ago thanks to this God forsaken state (well, if not for that, I wouldn't grow such insane hatred towards the system, enough to tangibly work towards a revolution, so thank you 😊 should've let me be a girl, now your government will fall)

I swear, I'm about to start offering to rotoscope his clips and then re-dub them in the most annoying voice possible, then putting them under the "share with attribution" copyright, just so creators have the clips they can use but in a way that he can't claim and would probably also annoy the piss out of the onion.

Man, I watched Onision when I was a teenager and found him edgy/quirky. He was POPULAR. It’s hard for people to know just how small the KZbin community was 10 years ago. Now, many years later, I realized just how “off” he was/is. An egotistical person with antisocial tendencies. God.

When I hear the youth don't know who onision is, I don't feel old. I feel relieved. Being forgotten is what he'd hate the most, and I want that so badly for him. Nobody who ever googles him can miss all the shit that has been documented for years now. I have faith in the young 😊

We are all dying and getting older, but please don’t be down on yourself and call yourself old. You’re not old. You’re not a child or teenager, but you’re still young in the grand scheme of things. Unfortunately our society is obsessed with youth and puts it on a pedestal.

The young people on social media today may not be aware of just how horribly insidious and deceitful he is and could be at risk from his predatory behaviours. I've been following this case since 2011. He's pretended to have quit/retired like, 10 times. He'll never stop until we all stop giving him attention. The last time that he "quit" was when Sarah announced her lawsuit in March 2023, but then he came back a few months later. Oh, and he sometimes also fakes being insane or dead in order to get out of trouble.

@Peregrine19674 күн бұрын
Don't blame yourself, at 15 nobody has the life experience to fully grasp the chasm in maturity between them and a man in his 30s. Everyone does stupid things as a teenager without fully realising what they're getting themselves into. The real culprit here is Onision himself, who-as the adult in this situation-was well aware that what he was doing was inappropriate, but decided to go ahead and post those pictures online anyway. He is a creep and a danger to young people who took advantage of you, and the blame rests entirely on him.

Dont ever blame yourself; being 15 everyone has major self image issues and when a big youtuber your a fan of doing that kind of thing- Its disgusting on HIS PART for taking advantage of his fans, knowing how it was bad hence why he defended and tried to downplay it back then. You were just a teenager, HE shouldn’t have even had the rating system in the first place. You shouldn’t blame yourself for his disgusting behaviors. I hope your doing much better.❤

BEANS! Hi Frasier! I've been putting this comment on onision videos by creators I like a lot. I was a victim of his. Greg Groomed me from 2014, right after my 11th birthday, till the beginning of 2018 after I turned 14. I used to be a fan of his & would frequent his forums. He would rate our bodies & I would post for his validation. He would encourage my self harm, and cause the Eating disorder I still struggle with. He would have me send pictures of my self-harm in my middle school bathroom through Skype. He would gaslight me as a child into "staying with him" anytime I couldn't message. He would threaten to harm himself if I didn't respond to him within 15 minutes. He shattered the childhood I could have had. He destroyed my will & want to reach out to anyone but him. He trapped me & so many others..... This video means the world to so many of us. Thank you for all you've done to expose how horrific he truly is....
