Online piano lessons with the Yamaha AG06 audio interface - do you need it?

Can this record audio in a video if i connect the phone to the mixer? Like the audio will be recorded it if i plug my phone to the mixer? Great video

There is a technical issue that can sometimes affect setups like this, which is that the sound of the piano in the room gets picked up by your microphone and also sent to the mixer via the lineout connectors, creating distortion or phasing when the two inputs are combined. Did you manage to avoid this?

There’s no lag between the mic and piano line so this doesn’t cause an issue for me. Yes, the mic is picking up the piano as well, but it still sounds great.

So sorry but this video is a big disappointment. I own the latest version of the AG06: the Mk2. The best microphone that I know of for instruments is the Shure SM57 but it is a dynamic microphone, and a Condenser microphone is far more sensitive. At the end of the video I had no idea how you connected the microphone for the piano, your lavalier microphone, etc. Seems to me that if you used a digital piano and used its audio out, it would come through crystal clear instead of struggling to use a microphone near an acoustic piano...just some thoughts. Good luck in all you do! As to me, I'm retired, 74, live in the USA, and have started learning piano again. I have both an acoustic piano 30 years old, and a digital piano. I use an app called Piano Marvel on my laptop, connected to my Kawai ES920 with a USB cable. As I play along with the lesson, which gives a nice background track to make it fun, it highlights all my wrong notes in red ink! Most digital pianos use USB-B so I have a USB-B to USB-C cable to connect to my laptop.
