I know that there's not a lot of good people anymore but you ARE one of the few that are good And it doesn't stop there for you. you actually find a way to give back by helping these victims. This is gonna sound ridiculous because of where I met this dude, but I’m just gonna say it. Your comment reminded of this dude I “met” in ROBLOX. I haven’t played it in almost a year because I’m already busy with school and I want to focus on my academics and my irl friends and family (I’m about to finish school so that’s why), so I haven’t spoken to him in about 8 months (and I never told him that I wasn’t gonna be online anymore since I lost interest in playing and I don’t want him to see me online). But basically, I met him after saying that we looked like twins because our characters shared a similar appearance and I thought that he would just say “lol” or “…” and that would be the end of it since we had only just met. Was very wrong :) He said lol and then asked me how i was doing, where I’m from, etc., nothing too weird, and I gave him broad answers. I did the same, asked where he was from, and asked him the same things he asked me, just to kill time since I felt in the mood to socialize a bit. Then he friended me and I accepted it, trying to be nice and expecting him to unfriend me a few days after this convo since we literally just met and had nothing in common. Then he asked me for my Instagram, unexpectedly, but I gave him the name of my account I used to make memes with, again, just to be nice and expecting him to eventually not talk to me anymore, and then we would talk on there. I used to only talk to him once a week or every 2 weeks and the convos were dry BC WE DIDNT KNOW EACH OTHER. Weird stuff that happened not long after we met: he asked me to buy him robux for him since it was his birthday (I said no bc what I just met him and I’m not about to be doing that 😀 I even said it politely) and I think he lied to me about his age bc I could’ve sworn that he told me he was 13 or 14 when we first met but when I told him I was 16, he said he was 15 about to turn 16. I even told him that I thought he was 13 bc he said that last time, and he was like “oh no I’m about to be 16 lol”…weird. After the robux thing, I became skeptical about him bc no person would do that unless if they were like 10 or 9 years old. I let it slide even tho it left me dumbfounded and a bit ticked off 😅Time passed by, and I had some weeks where I would talk to him every 3 days or 4 days in a week, and I slowly got to know him. He seemed to be the type of kid who would get into trouble a lot and he would cuss a lot, and it’s funny because he seemed to be a nice person at first, like I literally thought that he was younger than me by like 6 or 7 years, so I thought he was 10 bc of the way he he used to type. And he might be but idek bc of the other things he’s done Ok let’s get to the weirdest part(s): So, one day he opened up to me about how his uncle died and that he loved him so much and that he was so upset. I comforted him and I felt bad. I tried my best to send him the best messages to make him feel better, it took me so long to write my messages, but I thought it was worth it and I felt like a sister to him just doing this. Then, literally not long after he talked about this, he asked for a pic of myself. He’s done it several times. Another example was when he told me he broke up with his gf because she cheated and then asked for a foot pic to cheer him up and put the “;)” face. Stupid me still apologized and politely said no, while also letting him know that I was starting to get skeptical with his stories since he always ended up asking for a pic 🙃 and I always felt stupid afterwards for even showing empathy for his gimmicks only to find out that he was trying to get me to send him pictures. He’s probably joking around and trying to blackmail me, but I haven’t sent him any pics of me and never will. O yeah, he’s told me he has a foot fetish and he would always ask me if I wear heels and to show him my shoes “to get to know me better”. I’ve said no, bc I knew how stupid and weird that was, he apologizes, but he still asks for pics later on. Trolled him the first time he asked for foot pics with a pic of Soos’ feet from Gravity Falls and he goes “hah” “I was being srs”. he’s also asked me if I think he’s weird, I was being nice for the millionth time and said really stupid cheesy crap, “everybodys weird in their own way😄 blah blah “ and he didn’t react to my answer and talked about something else. He did that a lot, ignore what I said and ask about a completely other thing or say something random and act like nothing happened. Like this other time, he probably lied to me and told me a sob story after another 3 sob stories and I tried giving him advise and comfort, and he ignored all of it and talked about something else. Other weird things he’s done is ask for my password on ROBLOX just to change my characters outfit (didn’t give it to him ofc) and he’s sent me sexual pictures like twice and I think he deleted one of them from the chat on Instagram. I’ve never said anything to offend him and I’ve always told him to stop asking me for pictures of any kind because I’m not comfortable with doing that (and I don’t trust this dude at all 😭) but he still asked me for pics in the future. Wow that was a lot sorry😅😅😅 I’ve only told one person about this and writing this felt good. But yeah I haven’t posted on that Instagram account bc I don’t want him bothering me about me ignoring him even though I want to. I restricted him on Instagram btw and the latest messages are him saying hey hey heyyy hey “are you ok?”, all on diff days and a meme. I also haven’t logged into that ROBLOX account bc I don’t want him to bother me. But I haven’t blocked him bc I kinda feel bad if I do that after telling him that I was there for him if he needed a friend to speak to when he was having hard times (but now I don’t even know how accurate all of those sob stories were) and I’m paranoid that he’s gonna try hunting me down and confront me about it on other accounts. He’s a part of this hacker club and earlier, he’s told me his friends are hackers and ngl, I’m paranoid that he’s gonna have them do something to me out of spite 🙂 I know that this could be a complete lie since people like pretending to be hackers and he’s already tricked me way too many times, but I’m still nervous that they’ll do something to me. He’s joked about knowing my IP address out of nowhere if that says anything. Alright I’m done blabbering, sorry about this crazy long comment. But I’m curious what do you guys think?

The best thing to do is figure out who has these explicit photos/videos of you so maybe you met them on discord or just messaging idk how ever you met them. Learn how to not exactly hack, but how to find peoples rl names so you can know who this person is. Once you learn how to do so ONLY USE IT FOR GOOD NOT BAD !!!! Once you have their name talk to your parents about it even if they get mad its better than keeping all your emotions inside. If you aren’t ready/comfortable talking to your parents about it then I’m not sure what to tell you..if I think of something else I’ll edit this reply ^^ edit 1: as Karen Lasmin said talking to a trusted friend, or maybe a close family member for example a cousin, an aunt/uncle and so on. Yeah, cause that’s what people are taught. To blame the victim when it’s entirely the perpetrators fault. The don’t give any punishment to the perpetrator what so ever and they always blame the victim. And they usually only victim-blame the female victims. A lot of the time when a boy/man gets harassed everyone is supportive and telling him it’s not his fault (cause it isn’t) but when a girl/woman opens up about it they always blame her.

@@dragonfander8135 Actually, my real life experience tells me the opposite. When a girl says "rape" the community supports her. When a boy or man says it, people say "bullshit" and despise him. When a woman says "harassment" (especially "sexual harassment") the man is convicted before trial. When a man says it, people laugh at him, even in the face of evidence. Jokes like "Man, I wish that would happen to me". A SNL skit was even done about a 13 year old boy that was raped by his female teacher. It was a joke. Do you understand? Victim blame? In our society, men can't even be victims. Men are always the perpetrator.
@dragonfander8135
@dragonfander8135 Жыл бұрын
@@kennethteitelbaum6998 my comment is kinda old. I don't even remember what I said but I've actually noticed that people are quick to tell men that “you can't be raped/harassed, you're a man” and “you should have enjoyed it” but they're quick to tell women, “you were asking for it” “it's your fault” “you're overreacting”. The community doesn't take men or women seriously. And the reason men are accused more is that a perpetrator is usually a man. Even in cases where men were assaulted. Not saying women don't rape, cause they do. Also, I've never really heard of anyone convicted for harassment alone, man or woman. Rapists are barely convicted too, also rape is way underreported. And no one’s convicted before a trial. That just doesn't happen

A lot of people have realized that I have a social handicap due to my autism and taking advantage of that but I deserve to be taken seriously and I don’t want to be everybody’s joke. You can’t fix the past and those times are long gone but I want to be an assertive person in the future instead of passive aggressive. I used to think that passivity was cool and that if you were passive when stuff happens to you people would just leave you alone but I now realize that passivity makes you weaker than standing up for yourself and ignoring people doesn’t make them stop.

I was lucky enough to get back at the blackmailer, I found a small helper I liked talking about this man and my feeling of confusion being put into words helped me become confident, of course they have skills to solve but this is truly validating. Thanks dudeTo the fact that this started as just a random thought, a random hacker then turned to this blows me away. This man is a truly talented pro, who exactly knows what his audience wants/relates to, all while maintaining himself as a person 100%. Love it. Keep up the work, *Johnson spy* Can't wait for your other accessing then award.

In 7th grade, one of my classmates posted his girlfriends nudes on Snap Chat. The school punished him, he got suspended for the rest of the year and he's on some list. In the court of public opinion though... everyone I spoke to right after the incident was blaming her. "She shouldn't have sent him the nudes" Yeah, right, she shouldn't have but that never gave him the right to post them! It was 7th grade though and I assumed that no one really understood the gravity of what he had done. The next year he came back to school and it was like nothing had changed. I was the only person I knew who was creeped out by him. When I asked my friend why she was okay being around and talking with him she just told me "It's been a year- he's changed." He had not changed. He felt no remorse. In fact, he enjoyed bragging about it. However, most everyone I talked to echoed her sentiment. Everyone's forgotten about him but the girl is still teased mercilessly. I just assumed, again, that my classmates didn't understand the full magnitude of how he violated her. The year after, I joined the Cross Country team. I was running with one of my team mates and we passed her. I waved, she didn't. As soon as we were out of earshot, my team mate immediately began talking about all that went on in 7th grade, again placing the blame solely on the girl and absolutely none on him. I've realized that the victim blaming mentality in this situation is never going to change unless we educate ourselves. If this was any other form of sexual abuse- the conversation would be completely different. It's disgusting. ALSO: If anyone wants/needs/knows someone who needs to watch a really well done and extremely disturbing video on the danger of online relationships- look up Kayleigh's Love Story. It was made after a small town teenager was murdered. Online grooming factored heavily into the case. It's extremely dark but is very emotionally moving and really gets its point across. It's a completely different kind of online sexual abuse than this video but is still important.

I can relate to Kim in this situation because I had a boyfriend of mine who keeps forcing me to send pics of my foot multiple times and it was completely unnecessary and repetitive, I'm not sure if he had a foot fetish or something. I already have a newer boyfriend but at least he doesn't have any fetish or kink, or never forces me to send pictures of any body part of mine.

@@ksmart1235 Sorry this is late. But. No, it wasn’t wrong. If you weren’t comfortable with it then absolutely not. If he asked for your consent, then thats a different story. Make sure to always share your boundaries with people, and let them know right off the bat you arent who they’re wanting. Plus.. if he’s asking for pictures of feet of all things he has a lot more problems- Even if it is a natural thing, it is not like a man nor a woman can’t control themselves. They should always take no for an answer, and should always expect that you either say yes OR no instead of setting their mind on you saying yes. That being said, even if it is natural, some people dont feel that sexual attraction at all. Im asexual, I’ve never desired sex from anyone nor do I ever plan to, and I’ve been in healthy relationships that didnt involve that kind of intimacy at all. Really, its all about you two sharing what you’re comfortable with, and usually I get it done right off the bat just to get any questions out of the way before it gets a little awkward. If you aren’t ready but think you may be one day, tell them that you’ll keep things in mind, and may want the same thing in the future, but for now, you want to think things over and just spend some time with him in other ways to ensure you’re comfortable when you are, if ever, ready to take that step. If he leaves you because you aren’t on the same page, then that is not your fault. Relationships are about mutual understandings, and if he cant respect a boundary or meet a medium then perhaps its best he leaves and finds someone who is ready, or if he likes you well enough, he may stick around to see how you feel later and spend different forms of time with you! Its always okay to say no, and zero amount of horomones can make it okay for somebody to pressure you into something you’ve made it clear you don’t want to do. But its also a red flag if youre looking for a serious relationship and they start asking for sexual favors right away. That would just tell you that they were probably looking for someone they could mess around with rather than build a bond with and get to know. To me, at least, sex is more of an activity you guys can share together if you wish to incorporate that into your relationship eventually. It shouldn’t be one-sided by any means, both parties should be consenting adults who both want to participate.

Yeah I don't know why people do this... Their logic is like: "oh you got physically damaged? Abuse ... only psychologically damaged? No, it's not abuse" and the worst part is when they make you think you are being exaggerated or that you don't have the right to complain. Asking for/sending nudes to a person who says no is abuse too

i like how this video doesn't shame people for having online relationships, just encourages kids/teens to be safe while using online spaces. i guess it's only natural seeing how much the internet is used now, but growing up i remember just being discouraged from using the internet entirely, and being scolded for talking to people online. since i was a teenager, i wasn't going to listen to it! this is how educating children/teens about the dangers SHOULD be like!

Man, this hit me home so goddamn much. Get ready for a ramble in this 'cause I have so much to unload. I was groomed and sexually abused online, by someone who I considered close. I was 16, and he was 18. We never talked in person, as he lived in Canada and I lived in the US. We were close. We had like... this fatherly and daughterly relationship, one to where that I could consider him as one of my best friends of all time, but due to some things happening to my mental state, I was vulnerable. I gained feelings for him after going through a breakup that meant the most to me -- which I *thought* it was before. He was an emotional rebound, and that I'll admit. And that's when things went downhill. We weren't in a relationship, but it sure as hell felt like one. When I confessed to him, he claimed that he didn't have feelings for me, but he 'felt' something towards me, and wanted to be *friends with benefits.* I had to say no. I HAD TO SAY IT. But I didn't. It was normal... right? No. It wasn't. I was used, and he claimed that he didn't want to make me feel uncomfortable, but I was anyways. In my gut, I knew it was wrong. But I couldn't say anything -- nobody would believe me. We would always do these... voice calls on Discord, and I had to practically act like as if I was incredibly turned on. He would also make me say *"I love you"* to him a lot. He only said it back if he felt like it. It was... awful. Horrendous. I unfortunately sent pictures to him too, and it was for 'body positivity' even though that shit is incredibly false. Now, 2 years later, he's finally exposed for the shit he's done and is now labeled as a pedo from my peers. He's groomed other girls, and I'm fairly certain that I was the first. Or the second. Either way, I felt so fucking disgusted with myself, that I couldn't see myself with anyone anymore. Currently, I'm together with someone who loves me for who I am. I've been dating her for 1 year and 5 months now! I'm not revealing names in this, but please be careful about who you talk towards online. Don't trust *anyone.*

I related to this far too much. I was in a very rough patch when younger and immensely impressionable and easy to manipulate because it felt easier to give in than to end the conversations with a block and report in part because I didn’t know that was a feature... it started with just harmless things like sending a selfie or a picture of my outfit etc until it wasn’t harmless and it got worse and worse because the pressure was immense and I was horribly new to the internet consodering I lived a sheltered life...it only lasted a few years of being manipulated but I was still a child only a year and two into my teens... one of my most memorable and this one is going to always remained ingrained was when I was talking to a girl because I had sworn off guys and thought they were safer and would be less demanding;what a fool I was and I should have learned but I didn’t, she sent pictures first to which I felt I needed to as well as a way of equality I guess in my mind. She got more demanding and threatened me by saying if I didn’t send any she was going to hurt herself and proceeded to send a photo of her wrists harmed saying “look what I made her do” I was only a little wiser and saw it was a saved photo not a live one. I told her a few things along the lines she needed to get help but what she was doing wasn’t right and blocked her as she rapidly sent a bunch of other texts right as I was blocking her. I saw a few but not all... there were countless others dealing with older men who were predators preying on me a child barely in my teens. If anything those experiences allowed me to be grow a backbone on how to turn people down and deflect the pressure and predation not that I should have EVER had to learn something so young it took me years after to reclaim my body as my own I’m glad it didn’t go further than beyond a phone screen. Once I turned 18 I did something symbolic as a way of reclaiming my body from something they stole and pressured from me, my self worth and confidence. I’m twenty now and learning to love myself again, I’m in an IMMENSELY healthy relationship with my now one year boyfriend with plans to move in together in a year or so and I’m so happy to say I was able to share this story with him early on only because I knew he wasn’t like those other predators who preyed on my younger and weak self. What I send is on my terms IF I send anything he never asks never, not once the entire time we have been together and I know for a fact it has 0 to do with my story it’s just because he is so healthy for me as I am hopefully for him being there in the good and bad times together. I love sending him photos of just my day or random things I do and he’s ALWAYS so excited to see the crazy little things I send. Those predators only wanted one thing and they aren’t getting it ever again they took most of my remaining self worth then but not anymore that is entirely mine and I’ve reclaimed that part of me again they will NEVER take that from me again. If anybody on here sees this and you are one of those predators I hope you can live with what you did and asked for from a child. All I have to say is karma is a bitch and what comes aroujd goes around Anybody who sees this comment just know you AREN’T alone it takes time to recover but day by day you do there will be moments you fall back down into that slippery pit but keep digging your way up there’s a light at the end and the healing journey starts the moment you reclaim a little of yourself again and it only continues on from there
