You may have the most effective flexibility training plan and still fall short of reaching your goals. How does that happen?
Well, if you're incorporating all the correct elements alongside all the wrong ones, the overall benefit you get is zero! On your way to achieving better flexibility levels, you first and foremost need to eliminate the things that keep you inflexible. The most damaging factor for your gains is muscle soreness. You'll hear me repeat this time and again, 'When you try to increase flexibility, you need to avoid soreness as much as possible.'

so basically when you have leg day two days a week you cannot increase flexibility?

Are you training to 100% in each session? If you're only going to 90% in one of the sessions, you should be fine in my view

Maybe if you get sore from it. I don't get (that) sore when I train low volume high weight.
