Listening to these AI stories is as comforting as Grandma’s apple pie. Tension is always “palpable”; an older NCO Marine is described as “grizzled”; the human attack is always “hard and fast”; most human female lead characters are “Carter or Chen”; years later they are described as “hair now streaked with gray, and bad alien species and or individual bad guys/girls have names that begin with V, X or,Z; mandibles click with agitation, yet given the number insectoid species appearing, no one ever turns up with bug spray. I love this stuff!

Loved the story. 1 oversight. The humans knew nothing about the Vrok entering the war, but when the boarding party boarded the main flagship they followed intel gatheted from previous Vrok encounters.

All of these stories are basically the same plots, 1. they rescue someone who is royalty or has a power the enemy wants to control. 2. they rescue a world and then the defeated enemy has a doomsday device. Now not always but usually it has one of these plots or something similar.

Generally, every Military Chain of Command is well aware of the "Pecking Order". Loss of the initial Leader, while it may result in a slowing of response, due to loss of Special Communications abilities, rarely do things fall apart that easily..

As these stories go, this one isn't bad. Unfortunately, though, it seems humanity has gained no wisdom through the centuries. Someone yells "Halp! We're completely innocent, and being attacked by meanies, for absolutely no reason!" and we buy it, hook, line, and sinker, ignoring pesky details like diplomacy, verifying facts, setting mission parameters, long term strategy, or the fact that no one ever does anything for absolutely no reason - not even meanies. I can only conclude that Zephyria must have a lot of oil and/or rare earths.

Yeah I wondered about that. First facing unknown adversary then navigating ship based on past conflict. Maybe the frok and humans were in cahoots and they manipulated the situation to get access to the advanced technology of zepheria. I imagine later they subjegate the zepherians and take over the galaxy. The long game

@@ianmccardle330 Info sharing between the humans and Zepherians is possible, but the Zepherians are peaceful, definitely 'out of practice', and unlikely to have access to Tactically significant info except basic blueprints.

Ai is whats up. Same phrases ,constantly repeated also. I will say this i still listen , mostly i stop after a few minutes because rehash samo. Samo but every now and then a we gem turns up and its worth the effort

You can question the facts of this tale but the INTENT OF the story stands.!! Our future selves SHOULD and hopefully WILL BE magnificent and magnanimous stewards for good, no bigger, stewards for GREATNESS Our intentions should be the same as in this short story,!!!
