Man Killed In High Speed BMW Crash | Houston

06.10.2022 | 8:34 PM | HOUSTON - HCSO units are investigating a fatal crash involving a BMW 325i and a Chevrolet Suburban.
The Chevy Suburban was stop in the westbound outside lanes of FM 1960 due to another vehicle making a U turn at the intersection.
A BMW 325i was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on FM 1960.
The BMW lost control striking the left side of the Suburban before hitting a light pole at the corner.
Inside the BMW was 2 adult males. The adult male passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult male driver was taken by ambulance to get checked out with non life threatening injuries.
The driver did admit to drinking prior to the crash.
The driver of the Suburban did not have any injuries and left in private auto to get checked out at the hospital as a precaution.
At this time charges on the driver of the BMW is pending due to the investigation and toxicology report.
Investigation is on going.

If the driver of the vehical that killed his passenger admitted to drinking from the hospital THROW THE BOOK AT HIM!!! HE KILLED SOMEONE AND CAUSED ALL OF THIS...I am so sick of hearing of deaths caused by intoxication/drunk driving. The penalty needs far more and maybe people will think of what they are Doing.

I guess I'm just old. All this laser measuring a nd crap at the scene of an accident. I guess it's brought on by the damn ambulance chasing lawyers. In my day, an accident happened, 1 or 2 cops accessed the situation using just good old "common sense" a missing phenomenon today". Look at all the wasted resources and man-hours here. And just like that, your friend's life is over, and your life is unrecognizable. For the next 5yrs, MINIMUM, this night will be negatively impacting every aspect of your life. All because you were so arrogantly convinced that you know what you're doing, and you know what your car can do, and it'll never happen to you. Even if that were accurate, you can never predict what other people will do or not do. That's why it's so important to drive at a speed (and distance) that leaves room for corrections. And never, EVER, drive after consuming drugs or alcohol. It's just not worth it.

@@Porsche996driver Yep, I don't live in America. I've driven hundreds of times after consuming a lot of alochol during my younger years. But . . . . I never exceeded the speed of 35MPH while doing this. Normally I drive at 25 or 30MPH, which means that if I crash head on into a wall, it will mostly hurt my car. Not on big highways, just normal mostly empty roads at night, with a speed limit of 50MPH. Stopped doing this since many years now. From what I see with my own two eyes, BMW drivers are among the most arrogant, selfish and big-egoed drivers out there. Not all of them obviously, exceptions do exist. Rarely do I see BMW drivers using their turn signals/indicators. As a general rule from personal experience, I think the more expensive the car, the more probable it is that its owner is an arrogant piece of nature's excrement.
