Been making sprouts for years. I only soak broccoli sprout seeds for 4 hours. I never use a blackout cloth. They always turn out well! Mine only take 3 to 4 days, and look fuller and greener. Using a salad spinner makes dehulling and drying easier.

This tutorial was the best I've seen yet, ihave the jars but would actually like to make the microgreens, I'll have to get the trays. Loved how easy u made everything look, Thank you so much! ❤😊

Thank you for this video. I really want to try both 😊 I saw another video where she compared covered sprouts or with light. The light gave a much better result in my mind. They come out more green and appealing

This video answered a lot of questions I had. I especially was wondering about eating roots on microgreens and learned why people don't do that when they do eat the roots on sprouts. Well done!

Thank you for sharing! I always appreciate your videos...so professional and informative! One thing...I noticed that you didn't place your sprout jars in light. I always allow them to be exposed to light so the sprouts turn green. More inviting to eat. Take care :)

Agree… I always give them 2-3 days under light, they turn green & grow even more in volume 😊

I've been sprouting broccoli seeds and lentils together for several years now in a 1 qt. mason jar with stainless screen. Soak overnight, no blackout , rinse 2x/day, after 4 days, just switch to a standard plastic lid and store in refrigerator. Just eat within 1 week and start another batch. Ok, sometimes I add in some Mung beans. EZ peezy.

Thank you for watching! That's a really great way to learn. Honestly, both Microgreens and Sprouts are super great for just getting started growing your own greens. We don't offer lights or grow racks, but we do have them listed on our Amazon Affiliate Storefront - www.amazon.com/shop/onthegrowfarms?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_mwn_aipsfshop_2JJZ41XJ12PP7GZ9ZC81_1&language=en_US

I’ve been using your sprouting jar set up for some time now and they work great. I use 10x20 trays using the method from earlier videos. ( been studying/watch your videos for some time-even have your book ) just wondering how using the dome with no blackout or weight compares to using blackout & weights? Keep up the good work, thank you.

Hi! Just bought your microgreen kit and love your videos! From this video, you didn't add any nutrients and the microgreens turned out really well! Was just wondering what difference do you see by adding nutrients and do you think it is necessary for just home consumption?

I'm always amazed by these videos, I hope that one day I'll be doing this as well. Are there any special requirements for a space to do this in? Like temperature and humidity? The one space I could theoretically do this in is my shed. While sturdy, it is still influenced by outside temperatures, and it probably won't do well with too much humidity/dampness forming inside.

From various sources, I had formed the impression that broccoli seeds should be soaked only 4-12 hours for sprouting. Have you found that a 24h soak works better?

2 or 3 times a day? Which is it and what determines it? Thanks for sharing! 🌱
@OnTheGrow3 ай бұрын
It's 2 to 3 times per day, and it really just depends on where they are at in their growth and if they look like they could use water or not! Typically, I still aim for 3 times per day. Morning, lunch, and dinner 🌱🌱 thanks for watching!
@m3mikec3 ай бұрын
@@OnTheGrow Thank you. It’s my first time doing it in jars with broccoli and mung beans. When I did my rinse tonight (day 2) the broccoli were a little dry. So I think they will need 3 times a day. 😁🌱

Dang, no clear winner. Historically, by volume, I have grown many more micro greens using your products and tutorials. I kind of prefer the micro green process but I love the crunch of some of the sprouts, especially in Pho.

Your method of cleaning the growing medium is so complicated. You can just pull them off like a carpet and a gentle scrub with a brush gets the remainder off, takes about 1 minute.
