In The Last Crusade, the effects of the Grail don't work past the seal on the floor except for the cured and healed gun shoot wound. So if they wanted to be immortal, they would have to stay in the temple and never leave, like the Knight. If people miss star trek I recommend Gene Rodenberry's Andromeda. It is free to watch on youtube. It has that great late 90's/early 00's balance of cheese, heart, and scifi. It's storyline can get weird at times, and theres lots of dumb episodes and some great ones, but thats no different than TNG. I'm actually surprised it doesn't have a bigger following, it is kind of a hidden gem of nostalgia. Sorbo does a great job of playing the lead with a light heartedness, doesnt seem to give a crap when the story gets stupid, he just keeps going. I can tell the whole cast liked each other like a family. They dont try to do to much, its everyone just having fun doing a mid tier scifi show. Just like the older treks. I used to watch as a kid but never got to see it again til recently when I found it on youtubes free streaming section. Theres alot of good stuff on there, with a diverse content selection. It reminds me of the old syndication model on local stations back before cable started making everything a seperate channel.

@@sexycenturion7074I used to dislike TOS until i found it on one of the free channels with my antenna. They play all the treks in order with commercial breaks. I think the commercials are important to the watching experience as the shows were designed with them in mind. Scenes have built in mini cliffhangers when they goto break to build suspense or drama or end on a certain emotion, when they return from break its a fresh start with a new scene. Streaming loses this, however it can still be experienced with the free tier of services where they run commercials or if you can find it on a local broadcast with an antenna. TOS especially is like watching a play with key breaks. Same is true for all the old treks as they were made for syndication runs. New shows on streaming services at the same time are designed to be like movies with a continous narrative and highs and lows built in to the story to achieve desired emotions. Its why youll see a boring exposition scene following actiok usually. it is all by design. In an ideal world all the old shows would include period specific commercials to really give viewers context of world events and pop culture when they originally aired. Drinker didnt exist back then and probably has a much different life experience than you or I so thats probably why he doesnt get it. took me a while to get it and now that I do I can appreciate it more

Continuously pleads the gods for forgiveness for his sins. The end of the first game he is literally hugging his family to protect them. TOS, despite low-budgetyness and cerain goofyness, has the gravitas of old school sf with hard decisions and proper moral dilemmas (Charlie, The City at the Edge of Forever, Space Seed). What came next is... at best not that good. The original Khan ("Space Seed" episode) is so, so, so much better than the deranged old man from the movie everyone seems to like for the reasons unknown to me. Also the first Star Trek movie (The Motion Picture) is such amazingly beautiful love letter to the space exploration. And that music! Yes, there's 15 minutes scene with Enterprise model and now that I think about it I need some time alone, if you know what I mean. Tl;dr start with TOS, there are several major lore changes afterward that will make it difficult to come back later on. Also, SG-1 is awesome.

Mauler is pretty outspoken and a little misinformed on DC affairs. There was no SNYDERVERSE to be inconsistent. There was a WALTER YAMADA universe that was inconsistent because they kept trying to chase Marvel's success . Snyder did TWO films. And cast the Justice League. He had a FOUR film arc planned that never got off the ground because of the YAMADA universe interference. In addition: Snyder's films were all profitable, with only Nolan's films besting them in sales (Batman Trilogy). Nolan brought Zack in and they did Man of Steel together. The whole DC was heading for a steady incline in sales. But they weren't doing Marvel number so the Yamada regime destroyed DC's momentum. So if Mauler is going to chuckle, chuckle at the old Warner regime and stop mocking Snyder and DC fans.

@@alarson1799 That's the billion dollar question. I do think that some of the old formally Vertigo stuff has not been properly adapted. It's niche but it's got a lot of potential. But given how bad WBs finances are I think that it's now time to make small budget things that are totally new or buy the rights to really cheap books or something. They can't take many more losses.

@@genmaicha.lapsang The book route might be a good choice, I suppose. They're in a rough spot. It's sad because they've had such a great position as the alternative to Marvel if they had managed it right, but they tried to copy them instead. New blood and new ideas are really needed.

It's really strange how women seem to be able to make assumptions about what it's like being a man. It seems like all the women in Hollywood thinks that being a man is like a stroll down Easy Street from beginning to end, and that men never face any challenges. It's ridiculous. That's simply not at all how it works. And the sooner they realise that, then the sooner the entertainment industry can return to some sort of normalcy. As for Christopher Nolan. He's often spoken about as though he had a virtual infinite list of amazing movies to his name, but honestly, he had done pretty much only underground hits like Memento before he got the Batman gig. And after he peaked (in terms of success) with Inception and The Dark Knight, I don't feel he's proven himself as anything beyond competent. Dunkirk was good, but it was a blip among a bunch of overhyped projects that weren't nearly as clever as they tried to be.
