open up your chest and pull your shoulders back! this thoracic mobility exercise can help loosed your upper back and take pressure off your neck and lower back. it will stretch your pec muscles and is a gentle exercise that almost anyone can perform safely. open books should be a part of most everyone's mobility exercises. As most of us sit rounded forward on the desk all day, this will counteract the tightness in the front of our trunk/chest that will eventually cause us to be leaning forward with rounded shoulders. maintaining this mobility can help prevent future shoulder pain and injuries, neck pain and injuries, and low back pain and injuries just to name a few.
