Great surviving with only one health bar! And that very rare first-aid kit drop really saved the day. Playing with joystick back then was much easier as tempo was a lot slower and sight was permanent. But playing with mouse was meant for skilled players.

Back then I had a CPC 6128 (still use him) and went to a friend to see the A500. That was the first game I saw. I was blown away with that sound.

I think it was awarded by the hostage that was saved when he exited the screen - it's probably because I was below a certain threshold. I think it happens on the final plane stage as well - there's a chance for them to award health packs when rescued.
