To be precise, "Reverie" is a short eerie (or to remain on topic - ghostly) instrumental that serves as an introduction to the song but appearing at the very end of the previous track "Atonement" on the album. You seem to fully embrace that fabulous musical journey into the world of Opeth. It is really nice watching you reacting genuinely over such gems that are not so easy to grasp as a first listening. Opeth's songs are neverending growers as little by little you discover the diversity and the intricacy of the compositions that turn out to be real works of art. As for one would love to see you react on "Ghost of Perdition", "The Lotus Eater", "Moon Above Sun Below", "Heir Apparent", "Sorceress" (the live version at Red Rock Amphitheatre), "Deliverance", "Bleak", "Blackwater Park" ... and so many others! You're in for a treat! Keep on the good work!

Definitely has been my favorite Opeth song for many years. I have to listen to it every so often. It is like a spell, enchantment. I feel compelled. Pleasantly though. Damn lucky Mikael is not a siren or I'd be dead on the bottom of a sea by now.

As a quick note... the four bar repeating pattern at the end of the song is a tool they’ve made use of in other songs as well. I want to say Deliverance is one that uses it, and they have a great habit of dropping those sorts of odd rhythmic patterns into songs such that they are interesting to listen to and they sometimes take a little while to recognize as repeating patterns because the pattern itself is so long. You probably noticed though, you’re a musician. I love the fact that on this one they obscured its presence by tying over the downbeat at the point of pattern repeat.

One of their "very-proggy-metal" songs of Ghost Reveries; The Grand Conjuration. And the title track 'Sorceress', the music video, off their 12th album Sorceress which divided the fan base for changing the formula a little (Mikael stopped growling after Ghost Reveries). It's fantastic. Those are my two suggestions.

Hard to find a bad opeth song. Still so much to listen to. The moor, serenity painted death, leper affinity, bleak. I can’t explain the evolution/timelessness of this band. Seems to sink in and grow with time. So cool to see you start listening and understanding one of your future favorite bands. I’m around 15 years in and still can’t get enough

So if you do plan on digging into more bands there’s only 2 that I put in the same ballpark as opeth. Dream theater and between the buried and me( takes a bit to get into). Right outside that would be symphony x, Soilwork, be’lakor and demon hunter(personal choice). Be pretty awesome if you at least touched base with these bands

@@joshwietzke3845 Funny you should say that. I was thinking about DT. My favorite band used to be Queensryche back in the day. And I heard some tension between the two at that time. So I didn't listen to DT. I've heard several songs. Pull Me Under and a few others. But a band I never got into. So that is a band I was thinking of doing some. DH the same way. I've heard a few songs off the last few releases but thats about it. Also, what do think of Katatonia? Heard one song the other day and loved it. So may do some of them as well.

@@sonicallydisruptive Are you a fan of Dorje and Toska? Rabea Massad plays a Chapman lead in both, Rob Chapman (owner of the company) sings and plays rhythm for the former.
