If you never stop gambling you’re in a cycle of mostly losing but winning sometimes. Most people don’t quit while they’re ahead and keep losing until they run out of money or realize the odds aren’t in their favour. So obviously they leave before they win or they would keep going with the money form that win until they run out of money from their losses. Very silly statement. TLDR: Most people stop because they lost all of their money so obviously they stop before they win.

I stopped at Target during my fever dream in 2021 of cracking 100s of Evo Skies packs, and wasn’t pulling anything. I thought they were out but I found one sleeved booster pack, got in my car and ripped a Rayquaza Vmax that later graded a psa 10. Goes to show it’s all pure luck

I’m at the borderline gambler level. I don’t gamble but buying Pokémon cards and opening up packs. It’s considered gambling lol. For every one of these stories there are hundreds or thousands, where the person pulls a busciut out of their sealed product.

This is going to sound like bullshit but it's true. I've only opened 1 pack of Surging and I pulled the Pikachu SIR from 1 checklane blister from my local Target. It was literally the last pack on the shelf. I imagine the odds have to be like 1 in a billion of that happening on the only pack I've ever opened plus being the last pack on a target shelf.

Literally bought a 20 dollar tin from Target. Held it for 2 months and decided to crack and rip the 2 ES packs that came in the tin...glad i did. Ended up pulling the moonbreon. Sent it to psa reg...came back psa 10!

I bought 3 of those MJ Holding Mystery Power boxes that had the 1:20 chance of getting a base set pack back in 2016 and decided to sell them recently. Expecting to only have Primal Clash, Phantom Forces, and other current packs, at that time, in them. I did the research and determined that the boxes with those packs in them are worth around $200 because of the value of each pack. I sold all three boxes on eBay and received one positive feedback saying they pulled a base set pack in one of the boxes. My heart dropped when I saw that message, but I was happy for the buyer because it showed that I wasn't a scammer on eBay, and it made someone's day, but man, it hurts, to know I had it in my hands lol.

Opened 10 C22 tins a year or so ago and somehow pulled the Moonbreon with my nephew. I literally opened it, looked at my nephew in the face, and walked straight outside and started walking in a circle cause my brain was broken at how lucky we got hahaha. Open a pack every once in a while, but for reals don’t count on getting anything good, that’s why I flipped when I got it. Got super lucky. Cheers.

@ yep… the majority of them were opened within about the first year of evolving skies release so I was getting a lot of the packs around three and four dollars but still even if I pulled multiple moonbreons I should have never opened that many Pokémon packs. I was caught in the sauce for a while and wasted a lot of money opening packs. Very regretful.

I have a crazy story about a card I pulled. It was when fusion strike was released to major retailers and products were hard to find. They had recently stocked fusion strike at my local Walmart, but everything was already gone. I randomly decided to check under the shelves just for sh*ts and giggles, but surprisingly there was actually one individual sleeved booster pack of fusion strike. That pack contained the Mew alt art.

I actually bought a single pack blister from a local vender here in Maine and pulled a Moonbreon, two days ago. I never thought I would own the card. To follow up, I’ve only been collecting since February of this year, and I’ve only put in a couple hundred dollars into evolving skies packs, two etbs and then a couple random tins that happened to have the packs in them, but then I on a whim and a gut feeling bought two single blisters in a trade and one of them had the moonbreon. Life doesn’t feel real sometimes but always trust your gut I guess.

What's sad about it all is that this is now an adults hobbie,we adults have made a monster out of it all. We've created these crazy prices for some of these cards now causing the prices on the product to go up. Now days parents don't buy it for there children because as soon as their child pulls a new $500 Pikachu out of a pack we take it from them as if its gold or diamonds. I get it that it'll be worth a lot of money one day but what's the fun in that,do you remember when you were a kid and you could buy a pack for next to nothing and be able to play with it with your friends and not have to worry about the value of it. This shit's getting out of control.....As soon as a new set comes out and one of the cards in it is worth $300 to $500 causing the price of the product to go sky high. Not many parents want to run out and buy a box that's around $120 and then jumps over $200 for them to get disappointed that they didn't pull such a card.Fucking adults suck,that's what we used to say when we were kids....JS shit's crazy

I recently got back into collecting, and the first product I opened was a 151 ETB, and that friggin box had TWO God-packs with Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur SIR evo line in them. I don't expect anyone to believe me, as I wouldn't believe it if it hadn't happened to me. Then the part that would make me roll my eyes is that three of the other packs in the ETB also had Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard SIR between the three of them.

I have never opened a single pack of evolving skies, with the nightmares I’ve read online I probably never will. lol everyone loves the Moonbreon I personally think the Rayquaza from the set is by far better than it lol. I’ll probably buy a graded one one day. Or like you said some cards you just miss out on and evolving skies I skipped because at the time I was not in a position to slip back into the gambling space lol. Great video man!
