-Ryzencontroller will work if your laptop have decent thermal headroom and lower than 25W default TDP in max load (every laptop model has different TDP management).
-If your default TDP is 25W, you'll not see the difference using ryzencontroller.
-If your cpu temperature 85C or more in max load (without ryzencontroller), you can't increase TDP using ryzencontroller.
-Thermal headroom measured on default condition (without ryzencontroller) with full load (heavy games)

apu power is from hwinfo64 sensors and overlay, but you can enable it with msi afterburner "cpu power" if using windows 11. to enable msi afterburner in game overlay: settings>monitoring>choose which hardware sensor (eg. cpu usage, gpu usage, ram)>tick "show in on-screen display">apply.

I've tried this on my ryzen 3 5300U and i've seen no difference on my fps other than it can increase my power to 27W which stock is 25W and cpu clock to 4ghz but no to small increase in fps I guess the bottleneck is iGPU but it can be helpful on games that relies more on cpu. I guess by default my laptop is already optimized on thermal and power without sacrificing performance. Good software though for older ryzen who wants to squeeze more performance.

@@teknogameid yeah, i have a r3 5400u and from using msi afterburner i can see that the cpu is already using 25w most of the times when gaming, and im getting really good temperatures, not ever going above 70*c so im probably going to just keep it like this. I did follow the first step of the video so hopefully it helped a little bit.

as long as your ram has more headroom, the shared vram will have more. the game will use more vram if the allocated 2gb ram is full.

This would help with ryzen apu on low power laptops where there is a very low power limit and this would help the igpu to get more power since that's the bottleneck. Is that right? Because sometimes the cpu is at 3ghz while the igpu is at 800 which sound to me pointless

temperature rise is a trade off of increasing TDP, you can clean heatsink and replace thermal paste to maximize cooling.

notebook fan control may have different config, using same config can make the fan control not working. for ryzencontroller: - check your ryzencontroller settings, do not minimize or close when using it. - ryzencontroller only works on laptop with decent cooling for 25w, some laptop may have struggle when handle 25w power usually by bad thermal design. - bad scenario which make ryzencontroller not takes effect = the laptop can't even handle >15w TDP heat. - the result may different for another laptop model depending on how good the heat dissipation is.

That's why you need to repaste both cpu and gpu. Then buy a good vaccum/turbine type cooler. I got a Ryzen 2500u on 35tdp for 2.5 years now of playing. Still not fried, also I recommend buying lenovo or asus brands coz their build quality is good among others.

i don't know, i havent test for any years but i think it safe because that doesn't overclock, it just maximizing thermal potential so if the thermal not enough for handle heat it will throttle and i recomended to set safe temp limit 85C, that below maximum allowed 105C, of course the laptop must be routine to clean vents and change the thermal paste

Not. It would only reduce if it goes above 95°, but as you set the temp limit to 85° instead, it is impossible to cause any damage and as soon as it reaches 85° the tdp won't rise nor will clock speed or anything else.

both perform similar if compared by theoretical performance, but 4750U has higher default TDP rating (15w vs 25w) the actual performance may depending on thermal design and power management of the laptop vendor

al usar ryzen controller el sonido de mi pc tiene fallas, suena el sondio de los juegos pero distorsionado, alguien sabe como puedo solucionar eso?

parece que se debe a la carga muy alta del procesador, intente hacer una prueba en un juego que no esté vinculado a la CPU, tal vez también debido a la aceleración térmica (hay una caída muy significativa en fps con distorsión de sonido). o también podría deberse al controlador de audio, para problemas con el controlador de audio, puede usar el controlador UAD de realtek.

that might be overheat while your laptop hit 85c, the cooling isn't enough for handling high temperature. the cpu clock dropped when hit 85c with reason to keep gpu clock steady, this happen in cpu intensive games, and yeah it will make your game run slower. to get a true answer, you need to analyze the realtime tdp that can run by your laptop.

if your laptop has default TDP 15W or below than 25W and full load temperature about 65-75C, it will work. Specially for 3500U you can set max TDP 35W if your laptop internal cooling is good.
