Like you, Mattias, I have gone round the bike measuring the sizes of fasteners. Only those that would realistically be tackled on the trail/tour make it onto the list. I'm not likely to need to check valve shims, for example, so those engine fastener sizes get left off the list. (The manufacturer seems to have worked quite hard to reduce the variety of sizes needed - there's a lot of commonality of sizes.) Next step, and I believe this to be vital, is to annotate the list for what type of tool will fit the fastener. Does it need a socket, not a spanner? Are any of the fasteners actually needing that extension socket at all? Will only a spanner get access? Will only an open ended spanner fit, not a ring spanner? For example, my rear sprocket needs a 5mm Allen bit to hold the outside head of the sprocket bolt steady while an open ended 13mm spanner is needed to loosen the inboard nut. But not a 13mm ring spanner because half the nuts are tight behind a spoke and it won't fit. And luckily my chain adjuster nuts are also 13mm, also needing to be open ended. Happy days. The biggest weight saving I have found is not carrying tools for other riders. Those spanners, sockets, Allens and Torx that don't fit my bike get left behind. Huuge saving in weight! I have also seen elsewhere that the biggest weight saving when riding in a group is to not take any tools at all - after a breakdown simply wait, look sad and each of your riding buddies will rush to be the first hero to break out their tools to fix your machine..... 😆

Thanks for this experienced contribution! 🙏. Like You say, I did some calculations and tried options, very fun and learning. Did it before ofc when performing service and and works on the bike. Work on the engineblock seems do be done with the bit kit. Tank removal works with the bit kit. Extension seems great for exhaust, shock and sparkplug. As you say, KTM habe made a great job on the fasteners. I can for sure reduce the nummer of spanners. The smaller Pro Enduro kit from Motohansa will work for the najority of all tasks on the bike, add the KTM OEM rear/front axle spanner 👌 Onlybthing i might need is to add a socker for the front sprocket nut. Your last pro tip is practised as well 👀😂. Or get a flat, post on an lokal FB adventure riding group and get tire repair tools within 25 min... I know by experience how great this works 👀🙈😂💪🤠🔥 Cheer! 🍺

Hi Mattias, I've been using Motohansa tools for many years from when I had my GS. I still have my first Motohansa tools and roll which I purchased back in 2012 on my KTM which are with me on every ride, they are still in perfect condition and work faultlessly. The quality is worth every penny 👍🏻

@@jeroenmoser3544i wonder if the endurokit just different in colors or some torx. In the Pro ADV kit, BMW (blue) has a specific front axle removal tool (included in my general kit as well) and a sparkplug cool removal tool. In the KTM (orange) Pro ADV and general kit Yiu need to Choose the optional rear/front axle light weight socket thatvi show in this video.

Hello Mattias . It is this well pinner tool roll . I think to make a support on the side opposite to the exhaust and under the reckess 80L . The first advantage is to save space on the 80l reckless and the second is to stick the weight of the tool kit against the bike 👍 😀

Thats a cool project! I habe had my other tool roll in the auxpocket for years at that "opposite to exhaust side" all years, but nice to get more space to keep fuel to the stove on that side as well.

Duct tape, vulc tape and jumpstart wire / or ues for other electrical jump wires and JB Weld, is great additionals. I have them allready from the earlier kit. The thing is that the vulc tape is the one i have used most, 20 years old roll but still works for approx, one repair/year. JB Weld, not sure if it works the day I need it (same age). Ahhh, used JB Weld to fix a leaki g radiator on my 690 Enduro. That repair hold the life of that bike. Almost forgot that...

Fun to rebuild the tool kit now and then and in this case really fun to initial review the Motohansa kit, honestly nice tools in my opinion. See You tjommi 💪🤠🔥🍺🍺

Really nice toolkit Mattias.👍 As an former electrician I always use to bring spare fuses for my bike, especially the main fuse that on most bikes used to be in a different standard than what you use to find at the gas stations. Maybe a meter of cable and some cable shoes to be able to fix a broken cable. Electrical tape an some duct tape as well. 👍 Since you have the compressor, do you really need those co2 cartridges 🤔 I also have the same compressor as you and I also carry a couple of co2 cartridges but I some times wonder if that’s necessary 😂 One thing I definitely recommend you to add to your kit is a 1/4” box wrench 🔧 It’s doesn’t weighs much and it doesn’t take up much space. But that’s maybe the smallest “handle” for those bits. You know when you have that little screw that sits in a position that you barely can reach with your fingers and the T-handle is too big to use. That little box wrench might save your day 🤔 I’m talking from my own experience, I know how problematic it can be to get through the day when having a screw loose or two 😂

Thanks Jonas, forgot ro mention fuses, duct tape, vulc tape, jumper wires, JB Weld etc. That was in the "old" kit as well. I also Lost a part where I describe the scanners more in detail. They have spline drive on the ring end, very unique. Works with hex nut/Bolt, torx, square heads as well. If Yiu look at my latest IG photos You can see that detail. So I can use them as bit drive or at square water tap valve heads f.ex.

@@Braapncamp I guessed that you had some more things in another place. It’s always a limited amount of things you can fit in a tool roll. Some things is better to store in a different place together with some other things to minimise the place it takes. I looked at your last IG post. The last photo was on Ezza and the last story was maybe more related to loose screws but not the tool kit, that part was probably “out of date”.
