There is nothing on earth more meaningful to me than the wisdom and spirituality of Native Americans. I have learned so much from them and revere them for the simple message they convey that benefits all of us. Great Respect for Oren Lyons and other tribal leaders across USA!

I am also in the Aboriginal Worldviews and Education class on Coursera. This course is changing me in profound ways. I am humbled by it. Ironically, this course is teaching me something really important: how much I don't know. This video asks such a powerful question. "Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Is that it?" There is a big difference between being educated and being wise. Thank you for showing me my ignorance.

I grew up, during the 70s-80s, just south of the Onondaga Nation, in the Valley area of the city of Syracuse NY, in “The Valley Oaks” neighborhood development. I met Mr.Lyons during my 4 years at Syracuse University, during the late 80s - he is a wise and insightful man, a gifted orator, scholar, leader and athlete.

I like it. We are not only part of the Earth, we live within the Earth, inside its atmosphere. When people are sent off-world to space stations, they have to take oxygen, water and food from the Earth with them, and even then it is very hard on their bodies.

Thank you Lakota people for enduring. I am so sorry for all of this pain at the hands of my culture. Thank you for holding on to tradition. Your time is coming again soon, I feel it in my soul. Now is the time to stand up, be strong again. Turn to more old ways! Reject the B.I.A.! Reject the false monetary system! You are one of the true people, and this earth needs you! You can inspire other First Nations with your strength to stand up as well! Live with peace and love, we are one!

I am also taking "the Aboriginal Worldview and Education" at coursera. His words inspire me and make me think that his (or a man's who instructed him) view of life is what the current society needs. It poses a profound and essential question that "developed" society forgot to ask: what is life, who are you? This video shows that our lives are deeply rooted into the Earth and life itself is a part of a universe. Thank your for gimme a chance to watch this video. from Japan.

Another Worldviews online viewer here..loved this story, especially as I come from a family of fisherfolk. Started this course as I completed the Coursera Astrobiology course. The juxtaposition of looking out into the universe with this one of looking inward towards humans on one little planet is especially enriching. Oddly enough, both courses give perspectives on how like a tree is a human being...

I have a very important message for him from a long ago Traditional Onondaga Chief's daughter-in-law (who is also very ill, but must protect something that was put in place by several other Traditional Elders on "The Six" years ago that is in danger of being destroyed upon her death. I am appointed to contact Oren; making phone calls to The Nations, but it is a weekend, and no one is answering calls. Help plz! Nya:weh
