Hi he's back! Don't be upset that he's watched parts of the video before. He was the first person to ever watch the draft and is one of the two people I initially created this guide to BTS for so it's only right that he watches the final version. Thank you always for the support on my guide to BTS video 🥰 I hope you enjoy whatever Orig Explores puts out in the future.

I truly love your reaction. I just want you to know that there's "Extraordinary" thing about the KOREAN age system If Koreans tell you about their ages, you have to deduct 2 years from what they are saying. When it says Jungkook was 15, it means he was 13 years old in your own age system . Let me explain why. In Korea, on the day when a baby is born, the baby is 1 year old cuz they count the age in the fetus(foetus). Then on January 1, all Koreans get 1 year older. For example, when your baby is born on 31 December, the very next day (New Year's Day) it gets 2 years old, even though it was born 1 day ago. ( even born at 23:59:59' on 31 Dec, only 1 second ago) So when two babies were born on 1 Jan 2021 and on 31 Dec 2021, both of them are equally 2 years old on 1 Jan 2022. Soooooo, you should deduct 1 or 2 years from their ages. This is "Extraordinary" traditional Korean age system. Of course, they also have the official/legal age system that is exactly the same as the international age system.

One of the desirable traits of the members is that they genuinely support each other. There is no competition and they are proud of each other’s achievements. Honestly, I changed a lot because of them. They really helped me a lot to be a better person. 💜

I agree. I watch a lot of kpop groups before bts including the popular ones. They all get along but they also doesn't really give many compliments to each other. One thing I was impressed with bts was how they keep complimenting each other either in front of other people or each other. They also don't criticise each other that much. I'm sure they have criticisms but they respect each other enough to not embarassed them in front of other people. Thats what i respect about them.

According to what I've seen/heard/read, JK did defer part of one high school year - they were so busy with their comeback, promotions and touring that he ended up leaving school to pick back up the next year. Also, part of the reason the boys started off with such a good attitude has been credited to RM's influence during the trainee period - he always encouraged the trainees to help each other and be kind rather than focused on being ambitious and "backstabbing"; he kept reminding them that some day they might end up working with these people in the same band and would have to get along and rely on each other, so any conflicts and grudges would just be damaging in the long run. Apparently, this fostered a uniquely positive environment among the pre-band trainees which carried over to BTS itself.

💜💜💜💜💜 Loved his thoughts at the end!! Bang PD definitely had an eye for character as well. He made the boys have to learn how to fight and how to work it out… BTS did say that at the beginning they did not get along and they fought very often. However over the years getting to know each other and how to communicate they don’t really fight any more… Taylor you did an amazing job!! Edit: The people who think you where biased or didn’t show enough of the person, most likely are just solo Stan’s or very biased. They probably also don’t understand that it is an introduction not a video that explains every single detail of every member…

So wonderful to see Jeff and hear Taylor in the background ! Love both of your sincerity and genuine reviews. Warmest kudos! I believe all 7 young men were raised very well by their parents and have strong family support despite initial doubts in the very beginning (underground rapper days for Suga & pre-debut days). They all have innate good hearts, a willingness to learn, incredible work ethic (extra hours practising on their own) and all wanted the best for the group. Then they were very fortunate to have a good hearted and decent mentor / CEO in Bang Shiyuk who taught them about self belief, team work and how to resolve their conflicts. He provided the boys with the necessary skills eg songwriting bootcamps, music production lessons, what it takes to make high quality videos etc to have longevity in this cut throat business. They were also surrounded by good people ie BigHit staff and managers who did their best to support these young boys over the past decade as they (BTS & BigHit staff)- all struggled through the difficulties & challenges together especially during the early years. They had unrelenting focus and determination to succeed against all odds. They became one huge family and could count on each other.

💜💜Namjoon's birthday is Sept 12... One in an ARMY is an organization that chooses a charity that ARMYs can donate to. They just started a charity campaign in honor of his birthday. 💜 💜This is the first time I saw the final version. Thank you Taylor for making this informative video about BTS. I agree Band PD gets a lot of credit - his selection of members, his vision of what BTS should be, setting expectations about how they should deal with daily stresses, etc.. He had the wisdom to choose RM as leader. The members rally around one another because they had to fight for survival...and RM helped keep them going in one direction. BTS also showed ARMY everything...maybe not when it was happening, but afterwards they let us know what they had gone through. We don't only see their good times...so we feel we know them. They also ALWAYS thank ARMYs...and tell us that we don't support them from behind but walk hand in hand with them. How is not hard to stan a group that stans you back. An aside: You talk about stans complaining that their member didn't get mentioned as much in your video. Yoongi is my ult-bias and I use to get a little miffed that he isn't given a lot of attention in these types of videos THEN I thought about it more and decided that's not the type of guy he is. He LOVES performing for ARMYs, and making great music, but if given the choice he wouldn't want people to make a big deal about him. He said he doesn't wish to be the protagonist. He is more than happy playing a supporting role...so if he's my bias, and that's what he wants...I'm good with that.💜

Great to see you back again, I agree that a great job was done to build a team and love and respect amongst BTS. I do have a bias, I became a BTS fan in March 2020, a week after Suga’s birthday. I remember somehow realising that I had just missed ‘that guy’s birthday’. And feeling sad about it. My eyes went to him first, but of course I love and appreciate all the members and will support them always. Really looking forward to the documentary also 💜

Yay, you guys are back! Missed seeing your reaction vids. Nice job Taylor- this is a great resource for any newbie Armies out there. In your next revision, would be great to incorporate their new solo projects. I like how BTS isn’t just a musical group with multiple talents, they’ve become a true family who double as moral support. BTW @ Jeff- the scene where they’re handing out flyers was from “American Hustle Life.” They’re literally on Hollywood Blvd in LA handing out flyers to their first concert. And, that photo you think is referencing Resevoir Dogs is actually a PR photo from BTS’s recent visit to the White House. I believe it’s in one of their main hallways that leads to the Rose Garden. Nice catch on that - I didn’t even make that connection, maybe the photographer was a Tarantino fan? Lol 😉

I really like your video. there is really only one thing that would have made it just that much better, it's the regarding their ages. like at 33:00... I mean, I get it. JK says he's 15. and that's true, but that is in Korean age, not international age. he came into the dorm at international age 13. it hits differently when he says that they raised him if you know that he walked into the dorm of teens at the age of 13... the other guys attended his middle school graduation as well as his high school entrance and graduation. but anyway, I don't think I've seen very many, if any, that state his age in terms of international age, so yeah. it's a pretty video tho. thank you.
@HippieWings2 жыл бұрын
yeah. since this is pretty much my go-to intro video for friends and family (and strangers on twitter), I really wish their ages would have been cleared up. I have had friends say that in the states you wouldn't find a 15 year old guy saying his friends RAISED him... it makes more sense when you hear he was actually 13. but I guess we're in the minority that think this sheds some more distinct light on their group dynamics. in the scheme of things, it's probably not that big of a deal... and maybe one day someone else will mention it in their intro video. it's just that I often wonder if the people who make these intro videos even realize how young the guys were - all of them - when they started this journey and their parents allowed them to move into a dorm, etc. i's actually love to see/read an interview with all of their parents, but I also want them to be private and their identity protected... but that's a whole other thing. LOL thanks, Taylor, this is a lovely video!

13 years old?! for real? how did his parents let him go to Seoul, so far away, and live with other kids?! wow! Seoul's a huge city. so many questions! how is it he was 13 when he always says he was 15? I mean, I've heard that there is a difference in Korean age and international age... but how is it such a big gap? 13 is just so young! how often did he see his parents or go home to Busan... so many questions!

the good thing about BTS, they have a very good attitude towards each other and other people that makes them loved by armies. You can train a person to be a good singer or dancer but you cannot train a person to have a good attitude. Attitude comes within a person and how he or she are raised by their parents.

I just want to say that you did an amazing job on the Intro to BTS. I remember watching the draft, and loving it. I left a comment (on the draft) saying how impressed I was with it but wishing you had mentioned Jimin's martial arts background, because it, along with his hip hop and contemporary training all shaped the way he moves when dancing. So when the finished version came out, and that was included, I was so happy. And it made me feel like I , maybe, had a tiny part in it. I have Recommended your Introduction to BTS to several new reactors, and will continue to do so gladly, as I think it's the best one out there.💜 I also really enjoyed watching you talk to John Reaves, and think your boss will love it too; as well as J-Hope's new MVs, and maybe lolapalooza. He might also enjoy watching their recent Vlogs, which really let you see their interests, and who they are as people. Plus they're just very interesting and fun. Congratulations once more, on such an amazing guide. And thank you for sharing it with the world. I look forward to seeing what you may create in the future. Borahae 💜
