I 💯 % love rocking pushups . I learned this from Tim here a few weeks ago and fell in love with them. A truth about me: I am challenged with symptoms of C-PTSD and rocking pushups and even hinge rocking on all fours brings a lot of comfort to my nervous system. Seriously, I’ve had years of several types of therapies to help myself and these 2 exercises really help to calm my body and nervous system which makes for a healthier mind. With so much appreciation 🙏🙏🙏 I get my rock on daily 🙌 I’m currently recovering from some intense body invasion challenges with lateral hips, bi-lateral SI joints , glutes and L4, L5/S1 faucet joints inflammation. So I’ll pass on the 50 a day but I can definitely shoot for 30 a day for 30 days. As I continue to strengthen my whole body , I’ll soon be able to join the 50 a day challenge for 30 days . 👍🏼

@@OriginalStrengthSystem thank you 🙏 I checked out the above referenced video as I’m sitting waiting for lab draws. I need to some how organize all the many videos I’ve accumulated from Original Strength all with Tim’s guidance/instructions and humor 😂. I’d like to be able to pull up what I want a bit easier . I can’t believe I’ve accumulated so many in just a 4-5 weeks period. Aside from meditation and inspirational videos , OS is definitely gaining a lot of space in my favorites. I forgot im scheduled for surgery Tuesday the 19th. I currently have breast cancer and won’t be able to stay true to the 30 day challenge yet but am rocking the pushups all the way to Monday! 👍🏼😅

I started 8 days ago so today was day 7 because I’m taking Sundays off. I was able to do 50 straight today for the first time. The last five could have had better form but I’m sure that’ll get better in the next week! So far so good. This is fun and helpful.

I am trying to think of ways to regress this. I can only do pushups on the trunk of my car while standing, but I like the idea of involving the hips and knees from quadruped. Maybe a very steep inclined surface?

Well done! I will give this a shot. How about 100 a day for 30 days once you finish the 50 a day? Would that be asking for trouble?
@OriginalStrengthSystem7 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's asking for trouble. It's certainly doable and beneficial. Eventually though, we should ask to determine, "how much is enough?" I'll be honest, I have enjoyed 100 reps per day for a long season.

Hi Tim, so if I can't get go down as far as you, I should go down as far as I can?

Absolutely, we move how we can move, where we can move. We all move differently - we all have different proportions, genes, histories, etc. We don't compare to others, we just optimize ourselves.

Hey guys, you can break them up and they don't all have to be done at once. Whether 10, 20, or 30 at a time may depend on the individual's ability. The reps all add up ultimately and eventually, if desired, you could knock out 50 in a row. Twice!
