Ha! you read my mind. i started the 1st 30 day challenge & then on day 3 remembered another of your videos doing the elevated rocking push up. so i did the rest of the challenge doing them for 50 reps. was really good till i tore a muscle in my back doing something else. can't do any resets right now cos of the pain. but i cant wait to heal up & get back to them. thanks for all the great videos. they've been a game changer for my chronic sciatica & joint pains.

a k That's awesome about you going ahead with the elevated rocking pushups. They build strength! But, not awesome about your back. Very sorry to hear that. BUT, I know you will heal fast. Keep practicing your breathing resets and even head nods, AS LONG AS YOU DON"T MOVE INTO PAIN. But even moving where you can, even if only for 2 centimeters, is good and can reset your nervous system. Keep up the good work and heal fast!

Every time I look at your videos I have another move to try - I like the feel of the elevated rocking pushup - as you say "feels good".

Into the last few days of the challenge. Shoulders feel good. Great to combine these with the shoulder opening roll. Tim, what’s other challenges do you have in the pipeline ?

Thanks for the update! I’ll have to see what we can come up with. The sky is the limit

Hi Tim, do you have any abdominal routines, with these type of exercises? I have back issues and I can't do crunches, thanks
@OriginalStrengthSystem7 жыл бұрын
William McCusker Leopard crawling or Spider-Man crawling are great for building very strong abdominals. And, if your back allows, deadbugs can also do the trick. These movements should be in our play lists. This may be a great topic for another video sometime. Thank you!

Hey, Tim, how about adding resistance, like a backpack with varying weight?
@OriginalStrengthSystem6 жыл бұрын
Yes! That works perfectly well.

HeyTim, are you doing any other strength and conditioning besides all this cool stuff?
@OriginalStrengthSystem7 жыл бұрын
MMAZED The majority of what I do (maybe 85 to 90%) is the info I share in the videos. However, I like to leave room to play and explore other movements or modalities. Usually nothing "traditional". Like the weather though, I have my seasons. Thanks for watching!

Hey Tim, if you could only do one push-up variation, would it be the: 1. Elevated OS rocking push-up, 2. the OS Spider-Man push-up, 3. the regular push-up? 4. Or the Rocking Hindu Push-up? I'm rather busy but would like a go-to calisthenic exercise. Thanks for your opinion!

Hi Tim, I've heard you say that OS and "play" is mostly what you do when it comes to strength training. I'm wondering whether you tend to make up and follow structured routines or if you sort of make up what you're doing daily based on what you feel your body needs. Thank, Tim.

Tim Lane-Bortell Hey, I play, but I am structured (to me at least). For example, on Mondays and Wednesdays I may play with the same movements. Tues and Thursday i might play with different movements from mon and wed, but they are the same on Tues and Thurs... And the things I do are generally things I either really enjoy, really value, or both. Usually both. For example, I believe carries are golden. Crawling is golden... If I see superhero value in it, I do it. This may not make any sense at all, but I have structured play. Now, I also carve out about 10 minutes of "movement time" in almost every day to simply explore and move based off how I feel.
